Ben and ME

Post by ArtOfDisney »

Does anyone have any insight on if the "Ben and Me" Short will get a DVD release as an extra or anything in the future. It is a fun Disney Short and would like to see that one hit the DVD.

It's currently available on British R2 Disney Fables Volume 3 -- I'm not sure if you have the ability to play region 2 discs or not. That same disk has Modern Innovations and Donald in Mathmagical Land...

I can play the British discs on my computer, but not on my TV because of the PAL incompatibility. Even the computer took a bit of "tweaking" before it would work.

Check out this link for a number of multi-region players available in America which include PAL > NTSC conversion:

Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

55 days 'till Jack is back

Thanks for the help. I'l look into it.

The short is about a Mouse and Ben Franklin during the youth of America and how some of Franklings Inventions came to be.

Oh heyyyyyyy... i know why that's familiar!! it was a book! i read it a couple of years back. Was the short based on the book or was the book based on the short? im guessing it was the short based on the book because the book was one in a series of about three or four.... but still... does anyone know?

It's also avaliable in Region 4. It seems that our Brazilian DVDs are also region 1, and they are NTSC. You can get it at www.submarino.com.br
I have the DVD, and "Ben and Me" is a very nice short indeed.

The short was based on the book.

Here's the original book by Robert Lawson:

It quite cool that you can actually "look inside" and read a sample of the book online at Amazon!

the short was alright with the voices of Sterling Holloway as Amos the mouse and Bill Thompson as Ben Franklin. it had some humor in it and it is a very educational film in some reasons.
