how do you make avatars like the ones that most people have on this website? i am using one from abother website right now.

How did you get your names on your avatars?

Well, I made several of the Cars avatars. I used photoshop. First I cropped the official wallpapers from Disney. Then, I added the names to them by using the horizontal type tool.

i've done photoshop in 11th grade. but i don'it have it on the computer i'm using

I think most versions of Windows come with MS Paint; if you have Paint it will be under accessories and you should be able to paste images into it, add text, crop, and resize for an avatar.

It's a very basic program but can do the job nicely. Hope this helps. Good luck to you on that.

^ Yes, but most .bmp images made from MS: Paint takes up a lot of space and remember that your avatar can't be bigger than 20KB. Well it's highly suggested that you keep it under 20KB so that UD has more bandwidth thus making the site run smoother.

Well, there are more formats to save under with Paint than just .bmp's, you can also save your images as jpg's, png's, and a few others.

You're right but you still have to keep it small to save bandwidth.

By choosing the right type of file along with resizing the pic, staying under 20 KB shouldn't be a problem. My current avatar is a gif I made myself and stays well under the 20 KB mark.

However, I made it with two separate programs, Corel Paint Shop to create the intial pic and Barabosa (a free download) for the animation.

I love the availability of Avatars and other Images on The Internet especially when I am able to find images of myself in both genders which are cross-referenced with my own finger-print-file on record with law-enforcement-agency(s).
