Which Disney Films Made You Cry??

I really don't know why, but I cried in Disney's TARZAN. Tarzan is definitely not my fave Disney classic but it's the only Disney film where I cried. It's the part when Kala told Tarzan the whole truth in the tree house. I even cried harder when "You'll Be in My Heart" started playing. Then Tarzan said to Kala that no matter what happens, she will always be her mother...

I just watched The Fox and the Hound and it kind of teared me up.

I know exactly how you felt...I considered of my mother's reaction if I were to leave her forever, and I started crying. It's the most touching scene in a disney film, along with Mufasa's death- I was only 7 years old when I first saw The Lion King and that scene with little Simba crying made me cry really hard.

Various Disney films have had me crying or tearing up, yet I turn into a wallowing sobfest during the following:

Bambi - For obvious reasons.
Bambi II - Don't even get me started on Bruce Broughton's score -- if only for "Bambi and the Great Prince." I fell apart when Bambi was walking away from his father and then ran back to nuzzle him as the violin made it's final crescendo.
The Lion King - Once again, for obvious reasons.
Monster's, Inc. - Every single time the film gets to the part in which Sully brings Boo back into her room, I feel like I should die. "Kitty?"

and, most of all

The Fox and the Hound - First they break my heart & open the flood gates when Widow Tweed brings Tod to the preserve, and then the final lines in which we hear Young Tod & Young Copper's words over once more -- "Copper, you're my best friend." "And you're mine too, Tod." "And we'll always be friends forever. Won't we?" "Yeah, forever."

the only disney movie that kind of gets me choked up is

Lady and the Tramp: the pound scene with all the depressed dogs.

i don't really cry though. ironically, films like dumbo and bambi don't get me upset.

I watched Spirited Away today and my eyes welled up with tears at the end of the money.

I remember I cried with "Bambi" (who didn't?) and when I saw "The Lion King" at the movies when I was 8. I love the movie.

I never really cried but I felt really sad with...Bambi when his mom dies..The Lion King when Mufasa dies (I almost cried I was like 5 or 6 when I saw it in theater) and I felt really sad when king Triton broke all of Ariel's stuff and she starts crying(that scene would scare me, then make me sad)

Where to start...

Of course I cried at the "Baby Mine" scene in Dumbo. And I cried my eyes out at The Fox and the Hound(that scene when she brings Tod to the woods, oh my gosh). I remembering crying at Brother Bear, Tarzan, Tuck Everlasting, the end of Beauty and the Beast, and the "When She Loved Me" scene in Toy Story 2. I might have even cried at the end of The Parent Trap. But I can't believe no one has mentioned the Homeward Bound movies! If you ever need to cry just pop in one of those.

And there are a few movies that I almost cried at, like the pound scene in Lady and the Tramp and a couple of times in Lilo and Stitch. But I didn't cry at Bambi, and I only cried at The Lion King once when I was 4 in the theater. I think I just cried because everyone else was.

I can identify with Loomis here since I am pretty much the same way. Most anything sad in a film will bring on waterworks.

I have not seen MANY of the Disney movies as of yet (that's why I'm "the Disney Fan in training") but of the ones I've seen:

Dumbo
(saw it at El Capitan and was crying and very embarrassed -tried to wipe the tears before anyone could see)

Narnia
(the scene where they are torturing Aslan and then when he's on the stone dead)

Old Yeller
(saw as a kid remembered that it was a painful experience and refuse to watch it to this day)

Brother Bear'
(just watched this for the first time last week - I felt like I was crying through the entire film. All the stuff about how the people kill animals and how the animals feel about the people, it just made me cry, cry, cry!)

Bambi
(no explanation needed here)

Based on what most of you have said, it sounds like I should be expecting to cry during Lion King, Beauty & the Beast, Lilo & Stitch, Fox and Hound (I'll be sure to have a tissue box on hand for these!)

I dont think it is a question of you being cold/heartless... You non-criers are the ones who remember it is ONLY a movie, that we (the audience) are being emotionally manipulated by the film makers. Us criers seem to just forget that.

It wasn't a movie but seeing Beauty and the Beast on stage made me cry towards the end when all the objects turned back.

I've probably cried in almost every Disney film. I remember when I was younger I never wanted to watch Bambi because I knew I would cry. I teared up while watching Snow White recently as well. Basically at any moment of extreme happiness, or extreme sorrow I am going to tear up.

Only Fox and the Hound. Yes, I even remain stone-hearted throughout Bambi's mother's death. I only tear up during "Goodbye May Seem Forever".
