No one knows anything for sure and it's far too early to know anything. With Disney (or any studio, really), a sequel is always a possibility. With Pixar's general dislike of sequels (though there is Toy Story 2) and with Lasseter presiding over animation and nixing Toy Story 3, I would say it's not nearly as likely as it might have been otherwise.
True, we didn't see Lightning get the cup, but it was implied, and the audience doesn't need to see every little thing actually transpire on the screen in order to get it. That certainly isn't enough to propel an entire sequel, so they'd have to come up with a whole story to support it (which is certainly possible).
You never know, though. There could be a sequel somewhere years down the road. Don't expect to hear anything about it soon, but if/when anything is reported, you can't bet on it being reported at www.ultimatedisney.com

I'll agree with Aaron that this doesn't really need a sequel. The film came to a very satisfying conclusion. But, I could easily see Disney comming up with something. I also agree that with Lasseter at the helm, this doesn't seem very likely. But don't give up hope, you never know what could happen.

I'm glad most of the Pixar films don't get sequels. Finding Nemo 2, Cars 2 - I think that's overkill.
I think Toy Story needed a sequel, and I wouldn't mind seeing one for Incredibles either.

So yes, I think there will be a Cars 2. Of course, since the original is still playing in theaters, Toy Story 3, Finding Nemo 2 and The Incredibles 2 are probably much higher on their "to-do list", but I think eventually in time, we'll see a Cars 2 especially since Cars is a success.(it might not make as much as they hope, but how can a film with a budget of $120 m and make over $190 m domestically in 3 weeks, NOT be considered a hit?)Disney Studios Chairman Dick Cook wrote:"All of the sequels to Pixar movies will be made by Pixar. We are clearly going to look at all of the talent that has been assembled and figure out where we go from here."
While yes, the film did feel complete by Lightning not winning a Piston Cup, but when Rocky lost the big boxing match, it didn't stop him from having 3 sequels.

That is great idea!! I love it. I almost felt like the video Game The Incredibles: Rise of the underminer was more like a TV Series Video game rather than a sequel movie that was made for Video Game. What I want to see if this were to be made into a TV Movie is how Mrs. Incredible and the kids handled things above ground if this game were to be made into a TV Movie to be the Pilot for the TV Series. Perhaps someone should start a petition to get the a Series for the Incredibles going and perhaps the Rise of the Underminer could be a 2 or 3 part Pilot to test to see how it would do.memnv wrote:I would like to see an Incredibles cartoon show like they did with Buzz

I'd much rather see new material than sequels from Pixar. Of course, Toy Story 2 is still one of my favorite movies, but I think that sequels should be the exception rather than the rule.
Can you imagine if Disney made sequels to every one of their movies? We would have at least 20 less animated classics, and we would have missed out on some great ideas.
