I just got to meet Bill Clinton :)

Any topic that doesn't fit elsewhere.

Karlsen,

As a former English teacher, you are correct. He IS President Clinton, and that is the proper way to address him.

Again, congratulations! :)

That's cool. I don't like him politically, but I'm sure he's a fun guy to hang out with. I wouldn't mind meeting him. However, if I could get away with it, I'd like to meet Hilary and spit in her face. God help us if that evil b*tch ever gets in office. The sole reason we're not hearing Bill join his fellow Demacrats in the "Vote for us because we hate George Bush" campaign is because he wants Bush to win so Hilary can run in 2008. The long term effects of her being in office would ruin the United States.

Speaking of that, really it irritates me when watching the news and the reporters refer to President Bush as "Mr. Bush". In fact, it makes me just downright angry to hear newscasters like Dan Rather say "Mr. Bush thit, Mr. Bush that." They should show a little more respect.

The above is a perfect example of a newscaster letting his or her partisanship shine through. You can bet that Rather would never refer to Bill Clinton as "Mr. Clinton". It's a subtle way of showing his lack of respect AND the fact that he would rather another party hold the Office.

yeah.. crazy liberal sided news. it stinks now we can't get real news anywhere now days. even fox's fair and balanced news goes overboard at times with their right wing conservatism.

i'm glad you got to meet him Karlsen. It's always neat to meet someone who's famous. :)

Believe it or not, the statement of mine "FORMER Pres. Clinton" wasn't politically motivated. It was an enigmatic Simpsons reference.
When Homer went to buy a handgun they did a background check on him and the clerk was reading through alcohol abuse, anger problems etc and came to "Got in a fistfight with Pres. Bush". Homer pushed the paper down and pointed at him stating, "FORMER Pres. Bush".

BTW, I also hate the disrespect for the office as stated above. What kills me even more than MR. Bush, is just plain, Bush--no title whatsoever. Geez
