Hi Everyone,
I noticed on the list of upcoming releases that the Winnie the Pooh Anniversary Pack is coming out on July 9th 2006, and it also says this on amazon.com as well. I have one little debate about that... DID ANYONE BUT ME NOTICE THAT JULY 9TH IS ON A SUNDAY???? Overstock.com has what I think is the correct date and the more logical release which is Tuesday July 11th, 2006.
Oh and while I am on the subjuect of the anniversary pack of Winnie the Pooh Annivesary 3 pack dvd set. Is the discs any differ from the 3 differ films that are available right now for sale or is it the same DVD in a fancy new Collector's Box?
Michael

I'm assuming that since there is no new material here (other than the cardboard box holding the discs), they will be released on the Sunday when the ad comes out and the regular dvds get their markdowns. I wouldn't be suprised if they get shipped with the new release dvds and don't show up on the shelves until Tuesday, though.

Not Always on Just Tuesday
I remember that the Scooby Doo Movie when it first debuted on DVD it was on a Friday. I went to Wal-mart at midnight to get it and they said it does not come out until this Tuesday but when i said I saw it on TV this Friday and in the wal-mart flyer they checked their sheet and they were amazed that the sheet said Friday instead of the upcoming Tuesday. I can't think at the moment what other DVD movies have been released on a day other than Tuesday except for Toy Story 2 The Woody's roundup 2 disc edition which game out on Monday December 26th; which was obviously a great marketing strategy, but I don't Think ANY Movie would be released on a Sunday though. Mainly I would think monday through friday but basicly and most usually they come out on Tuesday. Besides overstock.com says it comes out on a Tuesday the 11th. Below is the link to where you can view what in my opinion is the more logical release date July the 11th.Lucylover1986 wrote:It's probably suppossed to be the 11th since unless it's a promotional gimmick no DVD's come out officially on any other day than Tuesday.

Also if anyone does purchase this set please reply to this post to tell us to confirm if it is just the same 3 dvds in a New Colletor's Box or if they have new bonus features and/or differ cover artwork on the separate boxes. Because if its just the same movies as out now and all thats differ is the pretty box on it then I will defintley pass and save my money.

When this was first announced, it was said that the box would merely hold the existing DVDs, covers and all.
I don't expect too many stores to have this, but if they do, you're apt to find it on shelves either Sunday or Tuesday. Disney price drops take effect on Sunday, and in some ways, that's how BVHE is viewing this new set, since the only thing new is the cardboard.

I got this set today, and for anyone interested, Target has it for $39.99 and my Best Buy had it for $39.99 as well. I got my copy for $34.99 at F.Y.E. (stands for "For Your Entertainment"). And for those of you who don't enter this forum through the main site, yes, the DVDs included are the existing DVDs; there's nothing new on them, just like Luke said earlier.
Since I already have The Tigger Movie, I originally got this for Piglet's Big Movie and the collectable box; since I don't like Lumpy, I just consider Pooh's Heffalump Movie as a bonus film included. Now all I have to do is sell my extra copy of Tigger, and I finally have all the Pooh DVDs I wanted (including one bonus movie that I didn't really want, but is still nice to have).
