Wow, impressive job! The Ariel and Flounder one is my favorite. The way Ariel's side of the picture looks is exactly what I'm expecting from the Platinum restoration: sharp, smooth, bright, and vivid.
Yea, very cool. I really can't wait to check out the movie on my big screen hd tv. All the PE's have looked amazing and I can't wait to see The Little Mermaid as good as possible.
I, for some reason, liked the music video and the twist that Ashley Tisdale did. Sometimes her voice can get very annoying, but I liked this song. I can't tell you why, because I don't even know myself.
Yuck, I didn't care for this rendition at all, and I'm usually semi-tolerant for Disney's cover renditions. A classy version of Part of Your World would've been much preferred (even Skye Sweetnum's rocker-chick version would've been better). The one plus is that the video seems to be using restored footage. The clips looked brighter and sharper than I ever remember them being, even with the heavily pixelated flash presentation of them.

That's what I thought too... It's fullscreen though...

I don't think you need to worry about the movie being in Fullscreen, it's DEFENITLY going to be Widescreen (it should've been in it's OAR, but Disney isn't there to please people when they incorrectly give you an Aspect Ratio that the movie wasn't made in), trust me
Ok, so I didn't care for the rendition of the song one bit. But I only watched the clip to check out the animation, it does look brighter! and I can't wait to compare the new version! October is soo close yet so far.

The film footage looks like it was taken from the VHS rather than the new DVD version. Unsurprisingly though, 'cause they never use the new improved version for promotional purposes (as weird as it may sound).

WOW, you did an awesome job! Like Disneykid said this is how the movie should look! Why don't you work for them and help gives us CORRECT Disney movies we want!
As much as I hate to admit it, I liked the video. Ashley Tidsdale usually gets on my nerves and her voice is too high but her rendition of the song is pretty good, in my opinion at least.

Hmmm interesting. Maybe its just been a while since I've watched tlm. Maybe they used the late 90s version? that one was fixed up a bit I think. It didn't look like the original to me.

Ummm...actually, they would use the new improved footage in a new music video, as they did for The Disney Channel Circle of Stars music video of "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" that they showed on the Disney Channel. It was the first time they showed the new restored footage of Cinderella. But Ashley Tisdale's "Kiss The Girl" music video may not be as clear online as it would be on television, so maybe if they show it on the Disney Channel we'll be able to tell if it's the restored footage or not.
It really looks like the restored fotage. The animals in the lagoon scenes look really crisp and bright, more so than they do on the vhs. It'll look of course even better on the actual DVD.

will it have a giftset realse?
thanks
Your lucky I answered this. For about 6 pages in a row, this thread has basically been about how there isn't going to be a gift set. A lot are upset about it. So no, there won't be a gift set (although many are signing petitions to get one).
