Received Incorrect Title

Post by TishaMoon »

In my recent order I ordered Bambi and they sent me Bambi II. The only way they have to do a return is with their postage label that requires me to pay to ship it back to them.

So I am wondering if anyone has had this happen before? Once they get my return and send the correct movie will they also refund what it cost me to get the movie to them? It IS their error after all.

I doubt they will refund your shipping if you just send it back to them. I would either call them and try to get a return shipping address or simply write REFUSED on it and leave it for the mailman to take. Of course, if you've already been charged, then the first route is preferable.

Obviously it's their error.. so you need to call them. They'll see what the movie should have been and they should send you a prepaid label for the hassel. They're really good about correcting their mistakes.

If you pay to send it back.. that's your choice. But if you expect them to refund you.. you'll probably have to deal with the hassel of faxing them your receipt or something.
Let's be nothing. I heard it lasts forever.

Returning movies

Post by jaxxchica »

If you ever receive a wrong title. just call the CS line and tell them you want a Prepaid envelope and they will send to you so you dont have to pay postage. If you send it back by paying the postage they will not refund the postage without a hassle.

The reason why there are errors in the orders could be 1 of three things,

if you order over the phone they could have entered the wrong number so if you ever place a order over the phone make sure they read the titles back to you and the format

if you ordered by mail, they could have entered the wrong title in by mistake

the third most common mistakes are made in the warehouse, with all the thousands of movies sent out, they are still picked by hand. so just call them up and they will be glad to fix it without a problem.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Unfortunately I had already sent it back. I tried a couple times to call them and was never able to get through to a real person (maybe I wasn't calling during their hours, I can't remember). I also tried emailing them but they just replied by sending their return policy.

I'm sure the error was during the packing, because I ordered online and my packing slip showed the correct title I ordered.

If I can't get them to refund my shipping it won't be the end of the world as it only cost $2. I just hope the return doesn't take too long.

I understand this is an old post but I wanted to reply in hopes of helping anyone with future problems. I had ordered Lady and the Tramp on the day it was going into the vault and received Lady and the Tramp: Scamp's Adventure. I was pretty upset thinking they would never give me the original one now that it was in the vault. Well, I called up the customer service number and the woman was extremely pleasant..she told me she would send out the Original one right away and that I could KEEP (for free) Scamp's Adventure since it was their mistake and they didn't want to cause an inconvenience (to go to the post office and mail back the other- even though I had made no complaint about it).

Just an FYI! I hope this might help someone with the same problem. Mistakes DO happen and Disney is pretty accomodating!
