I love those. The ones I most remember are The Stray Cats' "Rock This Town" and Huey Lewis and the News' "Heart of Rock and Roll". I was always amazed at how they could time that music just right. I wish I had been that smart to tape them, but all I have are the memories, because I'm sure they'll never be shown again.dvdjunkie wrote:Disney Television Videos, weren't those the pop tunes put to cartoons bits and used for filler on the Disney Channel when it was a good channel to watch? I always like Disney Television Videos and have a whole collection of them on VHS which I have transferred to DVD+RW.

Sorry to get really off topic!
Instead of going into a non-sensical rant about my POV, I will just say that something does not sound right about all of this.
The DTVs are a major market especially if it's a kids brand like Disney because parents would rather buy videos for their children to watch whenever than have to cough up lots of money to sit through 1-2 hrs of something they are not interested in with their kids. It's the cold hard truth.
If John Lasseter is in charge of Disney Animation now, then why is he letting India and the Phillipines work on the last two DTV sequels instead of DisneyToons Australia? Anyone who is anyone knows that all of the best of DTV sequels came from DisneyToons Australia. It blows my mind!
Sequels make up a huge part of Disney DTVs. The best solution to the sequel issue is to make it okay to produce DTV sequels but only 1-2 per year and only if theyre of high quality and worthy of being associated with Disney.
Sorry if i dont make sense
