In WDW, I've stayed at:

~Contemporary Resort
~Beach Club Resort (before there were villas)
~The Disney Inn (before it converted to Shades of Green)
~Polynesian Resort
~Old Key West
~Boardwalk Villas
~All-Star Music
~Villas at the Wilderness Lodge
~Saratoga Springs

I've also stayed at the Disneyland Hotel twice, the DVC resorts at Hilton Head Island and Vero Beach, and cruised on the Disney Magic. This past February, I stayed off Disney property for the first time on a Disney trip...all of the hotels at DLR were full, but my mom and I had a very nice experience at Holiday Inn Anaheim at the Parks.

:D YAY! Escapay just booked us at the Port Orleans Riverside (Dixie Landings) for our vacation! I'm so excited! This will be my 3rd On Property Disney Disney hotel experience (we've stayed at Downtown Disney resorts a lot). The first was Contemporary then All Star Sports. Both nice in there own ways, but hopefully the theming and good responses of Riverside/Dixie Landings will make this Disney vacation more special!! YAY I"M SO EXCITED IF YOU CAN"T TELL!!!!! :D  :D

Sooooooo, any tips about the resort before we go?

p.s. Since Port Orleans and Dixie Landings are one now, does that mean we can use their pool with the sea serpent water slide??

I've only stayed at a Disney Hotel once :( and it was at the Villas at the Disney Institute. They were really cool because my whole family went and we had 2 bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs, a kitchen and a really big living room. We also had a lake in the back yard and when we left the door open the ducks would just left themselves in.

To be honest I have no clue where I stayed in my childhood. However, I can specifically remember staying at All Star Movies (Toy Story building), and Port Orleans Riverside. I currently have reservations for the Fantasia building at All Star Movies.
