Same here. And notice that the edit to the cover does not make ANY mention of I'm Odd or any other new song. Instead, they're still promoting the Virtual Wonderland Party. This bodes well and tells me that they probably are just including I'm Odd as a special feature, which could be interesting, to look and see what Alice would have been like had it been made today. And I can live with that. Also, the 2004 SEs trailer on Finding Nemo DID NOT specifically come out and say that I'm Odd is actulally in the movie. It just pointed out that it's on the DVD.Tangela wrote:I like the lighter cover better...
My guess is that If I Never Knew You will be inserted into Pocahontas. I'm Odd will be completed but not inserted into Alice in Wonderland, simmilar to what George Lucas did with most of the deleted scenes on the Star Wars Episode I DVD. And Lilo & Stitch will remain untouched, in an identical transfer to the old release, with massive amounts of new footage and doccumentary material as suppliments, including probably the pre-9/11 747 ending.

It's just a bunch of fullscreen clips from Alice, Lilo, and Pocahontas...and a graphic with 2-discs. Altogether, it runs just over a minute and I think it only plays from the menu, maybe...and not at the start of Disc 2. There isn't anything interesting to make screencaps of. It's like a Gold Collection line ad except for a new ad trumpeting Special Edition DVDs "for the whole family."Joe Carioca wrote:Hey, people, could you give me more details on the trailer featured on the "Finding Nemo" DVD? Thanks, Luke! I can't wait for these DVDs... But it's is a shame they are not going to get nearly as much atention as the so-called Platinum editions.Luke wrote:It's just a bunch of fullscreen clips from Alice, Lilo, and Pocahontas...and a graphic with 2-discs. Yeah, it is burning my retina just a bit.Leonia wrote:Augh, the new cover's so bright I need sunglasses!
I liked the old cover better.
I certainly did like the darker version, but the basic cover design is still pretty cool...

I'm not usualy a Disney Purist, but I say let the classics be. It seems that they are trying to get more money out of already working classics instead of having that something special to make the films classics.
I guess I am not opposed to new songs if they supply the Original on the two disc, as they did w/ B&B and Lion King.
But I do have to say...Why add a song that was originally cut from the final release. It was cut for a reason.

We still don't know 100% for sure if the new song is being incorporated into the movie or not. Someone said that the preview for these special editions said that they were, but I watched that preview several times now and they never say that specifically. Now of course it could be in the film, or it could be just in a supplemental section. I am hoping for the latter!

I think disney made the cover lighter just to make it more kiddy and "fluffy" if you will and appeal more towards kids. I kinda like the lighter cover over the darker one. In the finding nemo previews it did mention the I'm odd song for alice and wonderland but it seemed to me they were being very vague about whether it would just be an extra or whether they would *gasp*
attempt to put it in the movie
