I'd just like to congratulate Luke and all of UD for reaching over 3000 great members! May we have many more days of happy Disney talking as one huge family! :)

Thanks, DisneyFan!

And before anyone jumps in to point out how so many people have 5 or less posts (if they do), I'd like to point out that at least the 3,000 sign-ups are legitimate human registrations. As one can see from the numeric IDs assigned to the most recent members, there are well over 200 forum members over 3,000 which were deleted because they were clearly robot spam. Human spammers have been deleted too. Even more than 200 - as it is only when a spammer comes and then a real member signs up after them (before we get the spammer deleted) that the numbering gets thrown off. Believe it or not, there are as many spam registrations as genuine registrations, but you're unlikely to see any of them for more than a few hours.

So, yes, while we don't have over 3000 active members (our handful of bannees alone probably take us under and the lurkers don't help either), and while the site gets more than 6 times the number of registered forum members visiting each day, it is still worth celebrating. In some ways, the no-shows and post-and-runs sort of help because even though we are large in number, there is still a definite sense of cozy community among the regulars!

Very nice. Was it not just last fall when UD hit the 2K mark? Seems the growth has been exponential the last 18 months.
