I've watched this movie last May 24, 2006, because that's the theatrical release date of X-Men: The Last Stand here in the Philippines. The movie is great, full of action and thrills. If you haven't watched this movie yet, watch it now and feel its extraordinary power! And as for the clip at the end of the credits...I missed it. I didn't stay long enough for it. I guess I'll just have to watch this movie again.

I definately know what I'm talking about, as the 2006 screening log shows.
I thought this movie was great and was better than 1 and just as good as 2. I also don't agree with all your reviews PE. But everyone has the own right to like or dislike a movie.

I saw it earlier today myself and thought it was great! I think its just as good as the second.I did stay around at the end of the credits and thought that it was a big surprise ending. You can tell that this probably isn't the last X-Men movie even though they say it is. :)

I can't wait to go. I'll probably go Monday and I'm glad I didn't go right away or else I wouldn't know to stay till the end.

I just saw X-Men 3: The Last Stand and I thought it was the best movie in the series but I didn't like the end. I prefer the comic book over this movie. I thought even X-Men: The Animated Series was took hard on the comic book I was wrong. I thougth this movie was more like Lost in a way...

Also stay at the end of the credits or you'll be sorry.

The introduction of a lot of new characters, the depth of the story, and how Jean is possessed with the spirit of the Dark Phoenix makes this movie really rock.
He has some idea what he is talking about. :) I tend to agree with PE that X2 had far more depth and character development, as well as a lot more humour. The shorter running time and larger cast of characters made the action and pace a bigger deal than some of the intimate character moments in the first two - BUT that is not necessarily a bad thing. REALLY enjoyed it, but I'll do a full review over in the 2006 Screening Log thread.

So who is disliking it? Not me. Apparantly, dvdjunkie only feels that certain people have a "right" to post their opinions.

Over here we got a Cars trailer, which was recieved quite positively, though not as positive as The Incredibles' trailer.
And stop attacking PE. Ya know, he may be harsh sometimes with movies, but he has a point. While story-wise this was the best of them all [in my opinion], it lacked the extra depth and subtlety that the first two had! It sure makes up for it in action and suspense, but there is clearly a lack of depth in the script (and some very cheesy lines).

Also, I found out what the extra scene was, and I'm going to disregard it for all eternity. It's one thing to see Magneto overcoming the cure (it still doesn't contradict Rogue and Mystique getting cured so it's OK), but to find out that Charles is alive is just plain stupid. I'd rather be ignorant about it and just keep believing that they went along with a brave story. Killing all those characters took guts, and I'm glad they did it!

I hope not. If that's the case then the whole sub-plot with Rogue is completely pointless! The poor soul... Her powers can hardly be called a gift. I was really rooting for her to go along with receiving the cure.

Her poers are a nightmare most ways but they are a gift too. She has done and can do stuff because of her powers that most cant, one was in cerebro at the begining when Collosas grabed her and she turned to metal, another was in the first movie when she was dying and she could touch Wolverine to heel.

BTW- Amazing how one thread about a new movie can do. I just got a email from Mr. Casta(Prince Eric, though I wonder if "Casta" is his real last name) I can tell you right now, it wasn't very nice.
