I thought the whole finale show was great on a huge scale - sort of like watching the Super Bowl or the Academy Awards! I loved the whole thing.

I'm glad I didn't listen to the spoilers of who was going to perform beforehand - I was really shocked when I saw Prince come out. And I didn't even recognize Clay! I have the show on DVR right now, but I'm going to put it on a DVD so I can save it.

I'm glad Taylor won - my ultimate choice would have been Mandisa or Chris, but they each sort of got the shaft. Mandisa was voted off on country night when I'm sure most of her demographic wasn't watching. I believe Chris got voted off because too many people assumed him safe.

Can't wait for next year!

I said the exact same thing. I thought it was cute, it made the guy so happy.
I thought the longer hair on him made him look a little odd too, I didn't like it.

The studio version of Do I Make You Proud is streaming on AOL now. Sounds pretty good. Amazon says it will come out on June 13th. I wonder what other song will be on the CD with the single.

The link below will take you to the song. Katherines single isn't available yet.

I hope they put up the studio version for Katharine's "My Destiny" soon. It should sound much better than how she performed it on Tuesday.

I really think that Taylor Hicks is going to represent "Idol" in a very positive way, and like Clay Aiken, I think that we will be hearing a lot from him down the road.

If any of you saw the interview on FoxRealityTV that same evening after the Finale, you would have heard Taylor's answer to Ty's question "Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years?" Taylor's reply: "Probably on the road somewhere in America. That's what I am, I am a touring type of entertainer and I don't want to be stuck in one place for any long period of time. First we are going to work on an album, and then we will hit the road and see what the public wants from Taylor Hicks."

I thought his answer said it all. And he was so gracious to Katharine, and did you see the look on their faces when it was announced that they both got their new Mustangs? What a moment.

Best season ever. How are they going to top this?

I completely agree about Taylor. I saw the American Idol Extra and thought the same when he was asked that question. Taylor really wants to get out there and perform. He is going to be great, and I'm looking forward to hearing what he does with his first CD (well third if you count the pre-Idol stuff).

His single is also #2 on Amazon right now.
