Indeedy we did. It's titled "A Grand Introduction."memnv wrote:we did a thread like this about a month or 2 ago and should be a few pages back, maybe you can use that one and maybe Luke or one of the moderators could make it a sticky post.

I have all my other goodies on the other thread....
Name: Aaron (Double-A-Ron)
Age: the big two-O
Gender: Male
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Hazel
Weight: 220 lbs
Height: 6 feet exactly
Marital Status: Single
Home Town: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Current Residence: Fort Collins, Colorado
School: Colorado State University
Major: Microbiology
Year: Junior
Estimated Graduation Date: Spring 2010
Occupation: Student, cashier @ Sam's Club
Hobbies/Interests: Cars, Horses, Hunting, Video Games, Sleeping, Guns, Computers, Poker, Music, and Movies. I also collect molds, spores and fungi.
Interesting Fact: In High School chem. class my friend and I accidentally started the floor on fire.
Mini Biography: After 3 months of being born my family and I moved from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to San Francisco, California. We pretty much lived there for about 4 years in a large apartment complex. I remember almost drowning in the pool, playing Ghostbusters, racial diverse friends, day care, climbing on my dad's motorcycle and starting it up, and of course the earthquake in 1989 which forced us to move. We finally moved to Johnstown, Colorado and lived with my grand parents. I remember helping my grandpa mowing the lawn, playing with my two friends down the street, going to a small school, day care (again), and cutting my eye open with a gas warning sign where I had to get 10 stitches. Then we finally move into our own house in Johnstown, my parents were actually renting it and we stayed there for a few more years. Because our land lord was a crazy old lady we decided to move our again and move to Loveland were I live up until now. I went to a small elementary, junior high and high school. I was struggling a lot during the early years of grade school, my teachers said I would never graduate high school but I showed them. I graduated high school May 29, 2004 with a 3.800 cumulative GPA. I still live with my parents but I go to school at Colorado State University where I first wanted to be an Electrical Engineer but it wasn't working out for me so I changed it to Microbiology. I always had an interest in animals so it only made sense. And that brings us to now.
Any questions?

Apology
A few days ago I created the thread 'Let's Get To Know Each Other Better'. I want to apologize for not replying with one mouldy post. The truth is that Maltacom, Malta's only fixed line telephone service, was experiencing technical problems yesterday and today, and everyone on the island (Malta) who connected to the net using dial-up, could not connect to the internet. I think it's atrocious. You can't have a whole nation, unable to connect to the internet through dial-up for practically 2 days!
But anyway...it has happened.
As a reply to all your posts...
I really enjoyed reading the posts, and WAS surprised to find out that some of you are actually younger than me. People like Timon/Pumbaa fan give me the impession that they're older than me.
Oh..Ha! Ha! Karushifa, please don't be shocked, but I used to think you were a male! I'm sorry. Well, it's a pleasure to meet you Katherine!
(You give me the impression that you are a very sweet young woman!)
By the way, I turned seventeen last March. Two months ago I was still 16. It's strange how my age keeps getting older. I still feel a twelve year old at heart.
By the way, some of you gave short bios so here's mine:
I live with my father. My mother passed away 3 and a half years ago. (She was the person I loved most in my life). I have two brothers, both a lot older than me.
I am a pianist. I got my Grade 8 last october. Unfortunately, I'm still backwards in my theory...stuck in Grade 5. I study piano with the 'London College of Music and Media'. I think the centre must be in London, but there are other small centres scattered around Europe, like Malta.
I can also play the piano by just listening to a piece of music, and immediately improvising it on the keyboard. I'm not sure what it's called. I'm also perfect pitch. (MORE perfect pitch than Grace (
))
I also am a fanatic of Disney. In 2003 I started to collect the Walt Disney Classics on DVD. So far I've collected about 19 DVDs. It takes me long because I don't have pocket money, so my father sometimes buys me a DVD or 2 as a treat. As my father is a pensioneer, it's a bit hard for him as Disney DVDs are expensive. I also appreciate certain video games that manage to capture true cinematic story-telling along with fine music, such as Final Fantasy VII and Heart of Darkness on the PSOne. The latter has an astounding score by Bruce Broughton, played by the Sinfonia of London. The former has haunting video game music by Nobuo Uematsu, released on 4-Disc collector's soundtrack!
So, that's a brief summary of me.
I enjoyed reading your posts, and laughed at the humour.
But I have a feeling that those of you that told me that their origin was of some four nationalities, were pulling my leg!
PS: I didn't know this type of thread had already been done previously. Maybe I hadn't joined the forum yet. (Sorry if I bored anyone).

maybe he mean't to say that he shaves his eyes because brown hair constantly keeps on growing over the white parts of his eyes. And since the brown hair constantly keeps on growing over the white parts of his eyes, he has to shave his eyes so that they are hair-free. Or maybe he's just paranoid, and thinks only about how he has hairy eyes, and how no one else does. Maybe he thinks that since his eyes are hairy he has to shave them. And maybe this is some kind of freaky paranoid-ish way about dealing with this. Maybe it's a somehow different way of cutting, but instead of cutting his arms/legs, he shaves off his eyes.JiminyCrick91 wrote:bambifan56 wrote: Eyes: Brown (although I have a shaved head most of the time). And that effects your eyes HOW?

Name: Monica M.
Age: 15

Nationality: I'm a mutt. My grandpa on my dad's side was born in Czechoslovakia (Slovakia side), and that's about as close as I get to an ethnicity.
Avatar: Joaquin Phoenix
Hobbies: I like to make collages and mixed media paintings. I also collect animation on dvd and Disney memorablia.
Favorite Disney movies: Peter Pan, Cinderella, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin...the list goes on and on.
Favorite live-action movies: The Breakfast Club, Walk the Line, Battle Royale, Fight Club, Amelie, Edward Scissorhands.
Favorite book: Battle Royale by Koushun Takami
Favorite television shows: Freaks and Geeks, Lost, Veronica Mars (although I've only seen two episodes from the second season, thanks to Lost), Seinfeld, Twin Peaks (never seen second season, thanks to super expensive VHS and me being anti-download).
Favorite bands: The Alkaline Trio, Against Me!, The Lawrence Arms, Tsunami Bomb, The Broadways, Smoke or Fire, Minus the Bear.
That pretty much sums up all of my interests. I LOVE to watch movies. I also like listening to music, but I usually only do that when I'm riding the bus home from school. On the topic of school, I go to a Catholic school on the north side of Chicago. No, I am not Catholic. I was not raised as a Catholic. I don't believe in a higher being or organized religion. I also don't believe that you can't be a good person if you do not have faith in God. OFF the topic of religion and back onto the topic of school, my grades are usually hit or miss. To start off, my school has block schedules; we have 85-minute classes and, in mid-January, we start all new classes. For my first term, I got pretty decent grades...aka nothing lower than a C, and I was taking math, a class I usually do poorly in. Right now I'm getting an F in chemistry, mostly because I sleep in class and I HATE homework. Last week I gave a speech in speech class about why I believe homework should be abolished. My teacher gave me a 92, and I think there were only about four people who had a higher grade than I did. I'm getting an A in speech, which makes me proud because I am super quiet. I also am pretty nervous around people. I'm not sure what I'm getting in my scriptures class. Last time I checked, I was getting a D, but that's because I handed in a major assignment late. My grade's probably a C now. Hmm...what else? Well, I'm a vegan. I have been for almost 2 years. It plays a pretty big part of my life. This is going to sound odd, but I cannot stand vegetables. Some veggies I can stand, like scallions, onions, garlic, potatoes (if that even IS a vegetable), peppers, etc. Celery and carrots (uncooked) are okay, but I can't eat them with my braces.
Sorry, that was so long. I'm bored. I don't really expect anyone to read that!
