hmm maybe i'll be able to pick up an R1 copy on ebay a bit cheaper shortly after it gets released here. i dunno what's going on here tbh, we all have the internet so are aware of what is available so why don't they just provide it to us why are we getting a different release? infuriating me all this messing around tbh, because i really cant see a tangible need for the delay. (rant over)

guess thats the price you pay for focusing too much on foreign companies... theres no guarantee you'll get the same treatment as the originating country (still don't understand why)

Companies blame licensing troubles and the NTSC-PAL conversion methods, but it's my belief that they just can't be bothered. Too bad, because most DVD buyers will just send their money overseas.

Ah, I was wondering why the July slate didn't have the cover art up for Annapolis yet, and it's because it has been pushed back.

Thanks, K. Will make a note of it in the next round-up on Bits.

Cover art is fun.

Let's hope The Little Mermaid stays like the American one and we don't
get some bizarre re-invented cover like Lady & The Tramp.

My cat just scratched me!

Terrible.

Lady and the Tramp DVD Material

Post by Disney Live On »

I just went to Ezy DVD and they have up the details for what will be featured on the upcoming Aussie release of Lady and the Tramp.
As usual the DVD will feature the Disney 5.1 Enhanced Home Theatre Mix and is presented in widescreen (I would have liked to have the option of full screen or widescreen cause one TV I own is big and the other is tiny (so the picture in widescreen will be micro-scopic), but oh well)

The Bonus Features Included Are:
Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scenes,
"The Siamese Cat Song": Finding A Voice For The Cats (With Introduction)
Disney Virtual Puppy: DVD-ROM game
'Your Inner Bark Personality Profile' game
Lady's Pedigree: The Making of Lady & The Tramp (A Must See!)
And the:
Lady and the Tramp Galleries

I do miss some of the more filler bonuses such as the music video(s) usually featured on the first disc but apparently the one on the US DVD was pretty average so I doubt I'll loose sleep over it.

Hope this helps everybody out.
Only two months left! :D

Yeh the American option of having Fullscreen & Widescreen is rather silly as they say more than once that they wanted people to see the
Widescreen Version.
And that you missed so much on the video releases because of the Fullscreen-ness.
And yeh once I watched the Widescreen version I had no reason to watch the Fullscreen one.

That may be why its only one disc, they saved space by not having that on it...oh and not having that funny bit with Fred Willard.

I haven't done any Disney DVD reviews for a while, so it is worth mentioning that I've just posted this look at the Region 4 edition of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe:

All debates over what country gets the crappiest artwork shall now cease.

We have a winner.

Just read it Loomis- really good review, but I can't say that I thought much of the movie. It seemed like total crap to me. The best thing about it was the Cheetah Girls at the end. But that's my opinion though.

Thanks, James. Nice to know at least one person is reading. :) But the Cheetah Girls need to die. Slowly and painfully.

Thanks for the cover art Loomis. :) You know, I might actually buy this. I've heard so much about it and considering I don't have Foxtel, I can't watch this anywhere but on DVD. I'll have to check out Luke's review of it though.
