What Disney Scenes Scared You to the Bone?

I know this sounds silly but as far as I can remember, I think it's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

There are loads of scary scenes in this film:
1. When Snow White was in a dark and creepy forest
2. When the Evil Queen is putting the apple in the poison
3. When the Evil Queen transforms into a very ugly, terrible and evil witch
4. When it's raining and there is lightning and a very huge stone hit the witch and fell from the cliff

It sounds funny, but I'm only scared from these scenes because I'm still a little child when I first watched it. Now that I'm already 13, it's not as scary as before...LOL

From the movies that I've seen, which is weird because I should have seen all of them, but I haven't, none of them have really scared me to the bone. Or in that case, scared me. They might have been intense, but frightful, or scary.

Haha...I know it's funny to be terribly scared from SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS. Maybe because I'm just 2 years old when I first saw it.

I don't know about outright scared, but I was pretty shaken up the first time I saw the Rite of Spring segment in Fantasia. Like any normal kid, I loved dinosaurs, but this was the grittiest thing involving dinosaurs that I had ever seen. Pteranodons are flying along...all of a sudden, one gets chomped by an ichthyosaur. The T-rex - stegosaurus fight. And, of course, the March to Extinction. Then, to cap it all off, the real downer ending where the Earth is completely engulfed by the ocean.

After watching that a few times, Jurassic Park didn't bother me at all. I was READY for it

Snow White- the forest and the queen's transformation.
Fantasia- Night On Bald Mountain Segment.
Beauty and the Beast- When the beast first appears to Maurice.
Little Mermaid- Ursula's face during Ariel's transformation.
Hunchback of Notre Dame- when Frollo goes crazy at the end.

There are probably more, but those are all that I can think of right now.

Until 1993, I could NOT watch the part in <i>The Little Mermaid</i> where Ursula becomes huge and gets harpooned. I'd always cover my eyes or leave the room. Even now I cringe just a tiny bit.

The Pleasure Island scenes in Pinocchio kinda creep me out. Actually, Pinocchio is a pretty dark film in general, but the Coachman, shadow men, and boys turning into donkeys stand out as the eeriest. I get chills everytime I see the scene where Lampwick turns into a donkey. Heck, I'm getting chills just thinking about it.

oh yea that is creepy! Even the dark ride at disneyland is a little bizarre.
I think that pinocchio is one of the darker films. Of all of them though, nothing really scared me too much. Black cauldron is the closest. But I was already a teenager when I first saw it on dvd so it wasn't "scary" just disturbing. I'd always heard about it when I was younger and the trailer was scary. There are alot of things though...bits of snow white, pinocchio and fantasia have always seemed a little disturbing to me.

The only Disney movie that really scared me when I was little was Beauty and the Beast: those damn dogs!

I rememeber I when I would watch ANY Disney movie before I'd watch that one when I was little.

I was never too fond dogs, though now I generally like almost all types of dogs. And of course, BatB is now in my top 5 favorite animated classics and since I'm older, and seen a few R rated horror films, no Disney film "scares" me anymore.

When the townspeople tie Quasimodo up and start torturing him. @_@ I actually turned the movie off for a few minutes....then turned it back on. But now, it's one of my favorite parts of the movie.

One of the first movies I saw in theaters was "The Little Mermaid." I was 4 and I remember clinging to my dad's arm for dear life when Ursula obtained King Triton's sceptor and became huge and created the big whirlpool. I was so scared.

I don't disagree with you, but generally, I think a slight amount of people would find a horror film scarier than a Disney film.

It's wierd that none of the Disney films didn't scare me but the rat tipped over the baby's crib (from Lady and the Tramp, of course) scared me to death. I'm sorry, but that incident made me jumped out of the floor and worried about the child's safety from that nasty varmen (is this spelling correct?). However, Lady and the Tramp is one of my favorite DAC's and that scene still scared me until now.

NO ONE had the heck scared out of them while watching Ichabod riding home after the party? I mean the Headless Horseman freaked the heck out of me when I was a kid.

Well, I can't blame the Beast for scaring children with its angry face and its ear-destroying roar.
Also, when I first saw Ursula in The Little Mermaid, I think she's a chubby, nice woman. I even laughed when she sang Poor Unfortunate Souls. But when she told Ariel to sing...and there's a green light...Ursula's face is scary...her eyes looked terrible!!!

Never really scared. But I actually never watched a complete "Disney Classic" until I was 15!

The only parts that scared me that I can remember right now were the Night on Bald Mountain segment in Fantasia and the part in Beauty and the Beast where the beast caught Belle looking at the rose.

Oh, and those little chicks in Home on the Range didn't scare me, but they sure creeped me out.

OMG!! I totally forgot about that one!! YES!! I was (and still am a little) seriously scared of that film. I could ever only watch it in the daylight.

Also, the end of Great Mouse Detective when Ratigan goes NUTS....yeah, that frrreaked me out, too.

And the beginning of Finding Nemo doesn't really scare me per se, but I don't like watching it....
