Both the front page and forum banners are awesome. UD looks like a movie on the forum, and the Cars on Ice on the front page is way cool.

It's tied for me. This and the Toy Story one both rock my world. They're all great, though.ichabod wrote:I have to say Luke, that the Dumbo banner is without a doubt my favourite banner you've ever had! It Rox my Sox!

Just wanted to say thanks, guys, for the generous feedback. I saw the comments when posted and they all gave me that warm, fuzzy feeling inside. I'm not perfectly happy with the way that the <i>Dumbo</i> banner turned out, but I'm still rather pleased with it. Like Aaron, I'd have to say this and the <i>Toy Story</i> ones are the two forum banners I'm proudest of. Strangely, the thought just kind of struck me while I was looking for <i>Dumbo</i> pics to include as part of a generic montage. Getting the text was a letter-by-letter ordeal, but I think it turned out quite well, so long as we can chalk imperfections up to the idea that this logo has been sitting in a closet and aging for 65 years!
As for the front page banner, it was supposed to convey Lightning McQueen bursting through the logo (which seemed fitting, based on his speed demon nature and the fact that I had forgotten my intention to include him in the first place), narrowly missing Josh Lucas and stopping the snow dogs of <i>Eight Below</i> in their tracks, while taking the road ahead and the crowd behind with him. Guess that didn't come through so well, but "<i>Cars</i> on ice" works well too!
Anyway, logos are always kind of a pain to update, so I'm glad that people took notice of these new ones and had nice things to say. I remember a time when the only feedback I would receive would be from a certain forum member (who for the most part has become a lurker) who would be very critical. I must admit I prefer public praise to private humilation. Maybe that's just me, though!
