DuckTales / Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers - Volume 2 in Nov!

Post by Robin Hood »

TvShowsOnDVD.com reported this:

DuckTales: Volume 2 -
Last November, Disney released DuckTales - Volume 1, a 3-DVD set that contained 27 episodes of the classic animated series. Since then, fans have been wondering if they will see more of the same? Will there be a "Volume 2"?

Yes. Expect it to ship in early November, around the same time as last year. Stay tuned and we'll have more details for you in the late Summer, when the studio makes an official announcement.

If this was the last set they would need to include 38 episodes. I hope Disney does that. I don't want to wait another year for another set.

Awesome. All I have to do now is actually watch the other two volumes at some stage. :)

They all get watched eventually. Eventually is just a relative term.

Hopefully they don't put out too many other boxes that this poor little Antipode has to catch up with between now and then.

They could conceiveably put the rest of the Rescue Rangers series on a single volume (otherwise they would have to issue a Volume 3 with only 11 episodes). Ducktales ran for 100 episodes, so I'd expect a Volume 3 for that show would be necessary.

Oh, and how about some wide release DVD love for Ducktales: The Movie? Now is the time, Disney! 8)

Wow, time sure does fly. I've had Ducktales: Volume 1 since it came out and I still haven't even popped disc 1 in!

Good news. Once Ducktales & Chip 'n Dale end, Disney can finally start making Pooh & Aladdin season sets.

Nope, but I suspect it will. I don't have any inside information to confirm this, but I'm sure "Gargoyles" will be okay for what it is and can justify a third release, regardless of the fact that Season 2 Volume 1 sales were below Season 1, especially if "Chip 'n Dale" and "DuckTales" are safe.

Glad to see Disney isn't going to ditch the second volumes for these two series. Now I will be getting DuckTales for sure; I was waiting for Disney to release volume two so I won't worry about whether the rest of the series will be released or not.

I hope so...I believe that the first CDRR volume included the first 27 episodes in the production order, and Wikipedia lists "To The Rescue" as #41-45 in the prod. order, so hopefully they will be in vol. 2. I hope the same is true for Ducktales...it would be weird to include the origin series on the last volume that will inevitably contain all the Bubba episodes, which I plan on avoiding like the plague

BTW, here's the link to that Wikipedia page on CDRR, with links to other DA shows: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rescue_Rangers

Fabulous, I will definitely be buying ASAP and if this is going to be an annual thing it'd be nice for them to continue it after they've finished with these two series' with others that people have mentioned.

It's a pity they're not quicker (especially as the episodes are pretty much as they were broadcast quality wise) but as long as there's definite releases coming around then I'm well happy!
