R2 Lion King inserts - terrible
I,ve just picked up my LK DVD - with free Simba toy, opened it up and the inserts are terrible. All that is on them regarding the LK dvd menu is a single page of scene selection. I dont really buy DVD's for all the extra comentaries etc , i get them for the film but considering what's on this 2 disc set i'm sure BVHE could have given a bit more info. All they seem to be bothered about on these insert's is promoting other DVD's.

Show Me the Money?
On the plus side, the UK DVD come with yet a different cover art for The Lion King 3.
Sorry, no scanner but it's Timon and Pumbaa standing back to back, and leaning on each other.

Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database
I'm at work at moment - if i get time this weekend i'll scan them and post them but basically its 2 booklets advertising LK goodies and other disney DVD's. I didn't expect anything like the US gift set but seeing as this is supposed to be a big release the whole package just seems disappointing. Its a good job the films brilliant. I like to keep my classic collection on region 2 disc's but if this is how BVHE UK are gonna package future big releases then i'll get region 1 set's.
The lack of mapping of the Special Features and Menus is exactly how the French version was released. Rather silly considering all the content, but even sillier considering the stupid menu system on the second disc.
But the booklet does hold one surprise... the first 40 Animated classics are listed, along with a check box - some are marked with a star - indicating Limited Availability. These include the usual "Platinum" titles, plus the one's supposedly added recently (Fantasia, Peter Pan, Pinocchio etc) but for some reason Robin Hood is included in the list. Could the UK be getting a new Robin Hood release soon?

Yes I was VERY disapointed with the insert's that came with "The Lion King". I mean even things like "Fun and Fancy Free" or "The Three Caballeros" which only have one/two features have better inserts.
2099 buddy, do you have a e-mail adress for BVUK so I can e-mail them and tell them how disapointed I was with the inserts?
I will say that I liked the check list of the "Classics" though, but why leave off the last two? I think that it was a mistake them putting a star by "Robin Hood" but it would be nice.

Wow. Disney UK have a new DVD site. I don't like it.Matty-Mouse wrote:2099 buddy, do you have a e-mail adress for BVUK so I can e-mail them and tell them how disapointed I was with the inserts?
The only e-mail address for Disney UK I can find is webmaster@disney.co.uk - I know this will not go direct to the correct department, but I'd like to think that somebody would read the mails and pass them on. However, when I've used this in the past nothing has happened, and one time the mail was bounced back as the inbox was full!
Again, the Disney UK site shows their contempt for their customers - no contact emails are listed!
Here's the contact information for Buena Vista Home Entertainment UK (note no email address!)
