My fiance currently has a DMC account at our address, and I've tried to get one under my name but apparently you can only have one per address. I was wondering, if she closes her account, will I be able to open on at the same address?

Yes
That rule only applies to one "open" account per address.
Let's be nothing. I heard it lasts forever.

Any idea on how long to wait between cancelling and rejoining?

within a month of originally cancelling DMC had sent me a mailer to rejoin

I guess you could rejoin right away. As long as there's not an open account at your address, you'll be fine.
