How many movies do you need to buy before you can cancel??

Post by Just Myself »

I'd like to join, but my parents won't do it for me (underage) and they said I can't until I have enough to buy a certain ammount of movies and cancel. So my question is, how many movies do you need to purchase before you can cancel your membership?

5 regular priced movies.

A few months ago, you could buy one during your original signup where you'd get 3 free, with 1 at 14.95 that counts towards commitment, and 1 at 9.95 that doesn't count towards commitment. I think it still applied but I'm not entirely sure. Also there's a code where you could get 4 free plus the 14.95 and 9.95 ones.

So that's about $100 not incl shipping costs but you have 2 years to fulfill your commitment and you get the opportunity to buy a lot of DVDs at discount during that time, and there are also free shipping codes given quite often.

If you are planning on signing up and cancelling right away though, you wouldn't have the opportunity to wait for good deals or free shipping codes...so if you did it all in one lump sum- you could use the 4 free code in the top sticky, and you'd get:
4 free plus $1 shipping for all (I think that was the deal... or maybe it's $1 each or something)
then 5 at 19.95-22.95 plus $3.95 shipping for the first, $1 for each additional. (Or if the one 14.95 still counts towards commitment, you'd save $5)

About a cost of $110- $125 or so.

I'd say that you would get more out of it if you don't just sign up and cancel right away, but hey- that's just me.

Well it would be cheaper for me, since I'm planning on getting VHS(don't ask why), so it would be cheaper, right?

About $82.75 if you get VHS's (that's the min cost of 5 VHS's bought at the same time- $3.95 shipping for first, $1 for rest).

So yes, cheaper. VHS's are set at a min of $14.95 to fulfill commitment.
