That's a pretty comprehensive list, Johnboy...you've got a lot of good choices from all different types of animation: Disney, Ghibli, Dreamworks, Rankin-Bass, Aardman, and lots of "independent" films as well. Well done

I noticed you have Perfect Blue on there...have you seen Millennium Actress or Tokyo Godfathers? I think those are pretty good as well...definitely not as intense as Perfect Blue but quite original and engaging all the same. I really hope to see more feature films from Satoshi Kon in the future

Yay! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who liked "The Phantom Tollbooth"! I mean, it's a good animated film directed by Chuck Jones (Yeah, I liked Chuck Jones) and it is a good adaption to the book by Norton Juster.

Nice list you've got there, Johnnyboy. It must've been so difficult to list them all.

I'm not sure I've seen 61 animated films. Although if Disney has made 40-odd films, then I guess I have...

Nice to see you think so highly of Emperor's New Groove. I've always enjoyed its off-beat sense of humour, and think it has been vastly underrated over the last few years. The DTV sequel and TV series will hopefully get people to 'rediscover' it.

Sorry, ain't no fan of "The Lion King"! that movie is just soooo overrated, i mean it's good but it's kind of a balant rip-off of the classic anime show "Kimba The White Lion" and it's not the omega of disney movies, there's plenty of other better disney movies.

Well i guess you can say that, I say "Finding Nemo" and "Emperor's New Groove" are better movies than "Lion King" in my opinion * runs away from the Lion King fan*.

Your crazy. Kiki's Delivery Service is one of the best animated films of all time.

I'd had to agree with you. It's true that The Lion King was a rip-off of Kimba, but Disney re-named the characters and designs to make it less-reconized. Besides, most people don't even know about Kimba The White Lion. Oh well, I guess it won't hurt too much for T/P Fan anyways. Even though, I love Kimba the White Lion and The Lion King.

How would you know the voices are mismatched? Have you watched the sub and understand the Japanese language? The story is not boring, whatsoever, it is about a girl that has to learn the ropes of life, and has adventure along the way. I guess you can't appreciate good movies, but would rather whallop in the crappy movies like Chicken Little.

I have only seen the English dub because I don't want to read subtitles for EVERY SINGLE WORD!

The voices definetely don't fit IMO. Also Kiki's little adventures like delivering some cake to a family and hanging around with some cat. Not too exciting imo. I do really think Chicken Little is a more relatable film than Kiki. Chicken Little is about a flawed person who just wants to make his parents proud. Something I can somewhat relate too, more so than Kiki.

Also, for the Kimba debate, technically, Kimba is actually a rip-off of Bambi, so they really ripped off each other.

Ok. Since both "The Lion King" and "Kimba" are rip-offs of Bambi, how can you tell the simularities and differences between those?

Well, one of the biggest elements in Kimba was the relationships with humans and animals, something Bambi was about.

There are also more examples, but I would go to long to explain.

Overall, though, to say "The Lion King is a rip-off of Kimba" is not neccessarily 100% true. The Lion King was based on many stories, most particular, Hamlet.

Besides, Osamu Tezuka ripped of many of Disney's work many times.
