Even if I was wrong about politicians or a political party being responsible for an ideology many people committing these crimes against people, because they consider minorities to be inferior to them, my point now is that you haven't proved that you care.

You are so busy defending politicians and a political party, that you have completely ignored the fact that there are still serious crimes being committed against women, blacks, gays, Jews, people of different religion / creed, ethnicity / ethnical background, and physical/psychological handicaps.

Well I am in the Minority, I am Jewish so yes I have a hard time with crimes against Minority's. We are the most persicuted people in the history of the world. I am not out there committing serious crimes against anyone or any crimes for that matter. As a matter of fact the most serious crimes we have on a every day occurance where I live is Drinking, Meth, and Graffitti. And when I have wittnessed any of this I have done my duty and called the Police. Maybe it is time for you to stop crying wolf and see what is really going on in the world around you. I have. I lived in New York City for 19 years and Atlanta for 10 years and have seen more Crimes against Minoritys than you can guess. I have found that most Crimes involving the Blacks are against other Blacks. I also have relatives who are gay worked with gay people and My sister-in laws Dad had a sex change and is now female and I really dont have problems with any of them.

Now, how many black people do you know? How much do you understand about black history? Do you know why most crimes against blacks are committed by other blacks? Don't you dare talk to me like I don't understand, there's not one thing you or anyone else here is saying that is a surprise to me. I already get this and I cared enough to find out why things are this way. I've seen just as much crime as you have, it feels like it's hopeless to stop it, but there's a reason for that too. And I understand why.

That's not the point. It's as-if you're assuming that all gays are like these people. That if they don't come into contact with what I've experienced or others who've had it worse have experienced, that they are okay. I'm not talking about you, you dork. I don't care what problems you have with them - nowhere did I say all straight people were responsible for homophobia. But it just so happens that intolerance against gays comes from heterosexuals, Republicans/conservatives, and the church.

Let me put it too you this way I have known a couple of hundred Black people during my lifetime. I have worked for companies with iver 500 employees and 80 percent of them are Black, and no I was not management. I have had Black roommates and dated black women so yes I have known lots of them

Finally! You're really paying attention. God, I never said anyone had to devote their friggin' lives to fighting injustice. Just don't ingore it.

Now me, personally, my background. I've met just as many black people as you say you have. I've been around a lot of this world and seen a lot of things. But I listen too, I listen really hard and think really carefully. I've heard liberals and they all have answers. I still have to work for a living. I work like a fucking dog and the government takes all of my money, one way or the other - and sticks it into their war, and give it to their churches who use it to fund their anti-gay propaganda machines. This is a crime! A crime against humanity. Because I've bled and I've sweated and I've cried rivers of tears... all in vain. Because I am fighting in America for the freedom others have but I can't have. I give money to a government that won't let me marry the man I decide to. That's a crime against humanity! How many times do I have to say I'm as normal as any person, my being gay is totally beside the point. But it has to be who I am because they won't let me live the way I decide. Me, have choices? My choices: kill myself to avoid homophobia and hatred and the possibility of being murdered by bigots, or lock myself in a room and never go outside. But I won't pretend to be something I'm not. Because that's a crime against myself. And there have been enough crimes against me already!

Do Republicans give a damn about me? I'm a working American. Today's the only day this week I have off. The couple hundred I have left over in my paycheck, after rent & utilities goes to maybe $50 worth of groceries (if I'm lucky), usually a buck or 2 a week in Savings, and the rest goes to my family because my mother has hospital bills that would scare the people here (I have trouble sleeping at night because of this, as it is- me already suffering from a host of things I need pills and surgery I can't afford!), she has emphazema or/and bronchitus (I don't even have time to talk to her to find out what it is, not that I much want to know, it's too depressing) and can barely breathe - not to mention my father hasn't been able to run in almost a decade; his leg is swelled up to twice it's original size. He can't have more than a couple of years to live. And he works, harder than I do, in his mid-50's, he can't afford to retire ever - he knows he'll be working until the day he dies and that makes him upset. I wish I knew what to tell him. My generation, our generation now has Bush Jr's tab to pick up.

If I didn't come here every now and then to blow off steam, I wouldn't barely talk to anyone anymore. I don't get out that much anymore. My father's gone working so I have to take care of chores at my sick mother's house. I mean - you people've seen how I treat $40... Like most people here treat 400! And this situation of mine... is ideal. When you compare it to what my friends are going through, at least I'm in a good damn apartment - one friend of mine has cockroaches in a $600 a month apartment and can't afford an exterminator. My brother is still in trouble with the law, he got caught driving without a license about a month ago. All his money is spent on lawyers and booze, because although drinking any alcohol is a violation of his parole - he needs the booze because of the pain he's going through dealing with his rotting teeth that are in horrible shape. Looking at them gives me nightmares! I got some friends that fall of the face of the Earth, I don't know where they are - they can't afford their phone bills. Not after these insane gas prices...

And it just keeps getting worse / nothing gets easier.

I will say that the situation that we are currently living in, seems to be getting worse, not better. I know more people who are having to live paycheck to paycheck, because no matter how hard they work, the bills just pile up. The price of gas continues to rise, and it's very frustrating. It is causing the price of everything else to increase. All the while, we have a government that doesn't seem to give a crap about what the middle working class are going through. I understand the need to help those who are less fortunate, but, what about the need to help those who live paycheck to paycheck? Those who pay their bills, so that they have electricity, water, trash pickup, clean clothes, a decent vehicle to drive so that they can get to work. Yet, these people can't afford medical insurance, because their jobs don't offer any help, and going out and purchasing insurance for yourself is VERY expensive.

All the while, we are paying our taxes, and yet, by the time we are old, if change doesn't occur, we will not be able to benefit from paying our taxes. So, we will have to work longer, just to survive. On top of that, as a homosexual, I do not have MANY rights that the government grants to illegal aliens, who have just come over to America to grab a piece of a better life. They are treated better, in many respects, than I am. I'm not saying that they shouldn't be treated well. I'm just saying that our government should offer the same respect for ALL American citizens, that they do for people who are not American citizens at all. If, as a government, you claim to protect people, give rights to those people, and expect them to follow law, then it should apply to ALL citizens, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs. George Bush, Jr. has been the worst thing to happen to HUMAN rights. If you don't see that, then you are blind. It's not because he is republican, it's because he is too conservative. George Bush, Jr. is the closest to a communist leader than I can ever remember in my lifetime. The sad thing is, we just allow him to continue to spread his lies, his propaganda, and his hatred for anything that HE doesn't consider to be normal. He allows violations of our basic human rights, and tries to take away rights which are NOT his to take away.

If that's not enough, here we are in the middle of a war, that he claims "future president's" will have to take care of, and now, he is eyeing Iran for war. We, as American's, will have to start living with even more hatred towards our nation, higher costs of living, and more fear that something bad is going to happen, because our President is going to piss someone off with his warmongering. He can't even contemplate that we should cooperate with the United Nations, to come to an agreement. He'll just take matters into his own hands. Why are we even still a part of the United Nations? We'll just take world law into our own hands. If this doesn't stop, it's going to bite us in the behind, and WE ALL will have to suffer for it.

Thanks for your time.

Laz- It does not matter who is in office Republican/Democrat - That are all the same. You probably were not in the working class world pre-Bush and it was the same thing with Clinton or any other president, After Taxes you are lucky to have money in your pocket. Goverment always caters to the big guys, not us little people, I think the worse part of the Elections is the Electoral vote, If the people's vote counted would Bush be in Office today. Nope it would be who ever he ran against.

Geez, I'm gone for most of Saturday and I see what was starting to be a very funny thread turn into a very ugly one. I didn't get a chance to read the many essays of Laz, castle, etc. but to be honest, I'm not sure I want to...

Anyways, trying to continue with the lightheartedness...

679. Zoltack WILL address me as "His Royal Majesty, King Albert", lest he wants to feel the wrath of the slipcover lash! :P
680. The numbering goes back to normal, as soon as someone figures out which number this is supposed to be.
681. Everyone would have an open-mind and be able to understand others' opinions, and if they were to disagree with the opinions, they'd do so in a calm and rational manner as opposed to spewing out insults, assumptions, and half-truths.

The phenomenon is catching on!

Come together, my pantless brethren (that sounds wrong for some reason)!!!!

Unite in our pantslessness!

Maybe this is why apes take over. We weren't wearing pants and were caught unawares in our underwear. We should investigate. I move that:

682. The board would dedicate itself to the pants/apes correlation that will allow ape to rule man in the future.

Yeah, I purposely avoided "Prince" simply so I wouldn't have to hear the tired joke about the can, lol.

683. In conjunction with the pants/ape correlation, the board will also begin to use bananas as currency (courtesy of His Royal Majesty, King Albert), so as to be in favor with the ruling apes when the time comes.

Both are my fault I'm afraid.

I kicked the numbers up to 666, which led to the nasty evil pervading the thread. The devil tempted me, and I couldn't say no! (I mean, who could? Aside from Jesus, for example, or possibly the Care Bears).

To that end, I've figured out where it all went wrong. From my future vantage point, I will turn back time all the way back to:

58. Everything is nicey nicey, love love.

There, all fixed. That's the end of that chapter.

I dunno, if apes are ruling the world, they're going to be quite objective of pants or underwear. :P

Does this mean that from now on, whenever we go to a used car place, there will be big balloons of humans instead of monkeys?
