Who still takes baths?

Post by jacambece »

This is another one of my weird questions, but who still takes baths every once and a while?

I have a tub, and some times it’s relaxing, but I am too big for the tub. That got me thinking “are there bigger tubs"? Then I thought do older people (like between 18 and 35) who still take baths? I don’t know why it matters to me I just like to know that I am not the only one...lol

The only time I ever took baths was when I was a baby and couldn't stand on my own. I've always taken showers, as early as I can remember.

Though on occassion in the summer, since we didn't have a pool, we'd fill up the bathtub and pretend it was a pool when we were little.

I'm 22 and I still take baths. I'm a girl and take them for relaxing not for getting clean because your basically sitting in your own filth (I shower after). I use lots of bubbles, salts and all that girly stuff and it makes them calming, plus in the winter it really warms me up.

Since I'm a poor college student living in a dorm...I cannot take baths,... or I guess I could, but that would freak people out!

Maybe that should be the next topic for the Student Government Meeting.

...and they could offer optional bubble bath juice for .50 a pop...in five wonderfully relaxing scents...

ooooh...baths. :D
:pan: Love It.

I do....on rare occasions. Like when I'm really stressed out and I want to relax after the kids are in bed.

When I was pregnant (4 times within eight years, whew), I would take a bath almost every night. I still worked full time, and sometimes the thought of that bath is the only thing that would get me through the day.

I do sometimes. For relaxing. I would someday to have a bigger tub so I can take baths more often. The standard tub we have is too cramped to be relaxing for any true length of time.

Showers all the way for me, baby.

When I do wash, of course.

The Annual Washing of the Loomis is a good 3 months away.

No, our bath tub is too small for me and showers are much quicker but I forget which wastes the most water.

Baths use more water. Unless of course, regular 5-10 minute showers take 20-30 minutes in the summer when you don't want to get out of the water and have to wear clothes around the house which is boiling hot because the air conditioner isn't turned on to save energy...then showers use more water.

If I had a garden tub I'd take baths, but it's just not relaxing in a regular sized tub. Showers are fine with me though.

In that case just take me outside and spray me with the hose. The neighbors might call the cops though. :P

Every now and then, I'm dying to take a bath and I can't because the darn tub is not long enough from my head to my toes for me to fit comfortably. Which is ridiculous, because while I am the tallest person in my immediate family, we are all quite short. I don't take showers or baths to be quick anymore, so I could do with the relaxation of a bath every now and again...

But hey, at least I have a place to stay where I know I'll be safe. I'm a lot luckier than the hundreds of thousands of homeless we have in our country or the thousands more in the ghettos who are daily victims of savage violence, gang war, disease, and murder. So I have to learn to live without baths.

I usually only take baths during the winter, after I get home from a night at work. I use lots of bubbles and lavendar salts. I think I have poor blood circulation, so I have a difficult time staying warm in the winter. I'm always complaining about how much I hate winter and how I can't wait for the summer, and my mom hates it because she hates summer.

But it never really occured to me that "your basically sitting in your own filth" as cydney so nicely put it. Maybe this winter will be different :|

Nothing beats a long lie in a nice relaxing warm bath while reading a newspaper/book/magazine/letter/food package/court summons or notice of eviction.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I always take baths every morning. I only take baths in the noon or afternoon or evening when I'm stressed out from a day's work. I also take a bath when I feel like I'm dirty and somethins itchy...things like that.

So, on the average, I only take baths about 10 times a week.
I'm still 13, though.

I take at most 5 baths per year. On my birthday, I take a big long bath in my mothers big Whirlpool tub. For the other four times I take them when I'm too lazy to take a shower. That just shows how lazy I am. Actually I'm pretty lazy, I don't do a lot of stuff that I'm.......... Oh sorry, we can now go back to our regular schedueled forum question.
