As someone who hasn't seen Lilo and Stitch 2 yet, I'm crying right now at the ending being somewhat spoiled...
Anyways, I never really found myself crying at a Disney film (not even during Bambi, which is perhaps Disney's best tearjerker). But I was watching Beauty and the Beast a couple nights ago and found myself tearing up when Beast died.

Awww
Dumbo is the only movie that makes my cry.
Well Disney movie anyway.
Lilo & Stitch was touching, as was the end of Brother Bear.
Oh and who doesn't get choked up hearing Circle Of Life.
Actually I remember when Donald found Daisy in Fantasia 2000 that
was touching too.
BUT the only bit I actually cry at, so much so that I skip it, is
Baby Mine in Dumbo.

Hmmm...you know...I've always found it hard to get really choked up during most Disney movies, because in the back of my head I always KNOW there is going to be a happy ending and that all the protagonists will end up okay.
The one major exception to this is The Rescuers...thing is, Penny is just so extraordinarily pitiful and sad, that just about every scene with her has the potential to make you want to cry. I usually start during the scene with her and Rufus in the orphanage, and by the time the end of "Someone's Waiting For You" rolls around, I'm a wreck. This may just be the saddest Disney movie I've ever seen...even though of course there's a happy ending, a lot of stuff leading up to that is just soul-crushingly depressing.
Other than that...I always cry near the end of Monsters, Inc., when Sully has to say goodbye to Boo. And don't even get me started on how many Miyazaki movies have made me cry...I think the only one that didn't was Porco Rosso, which is considered the most "masculine" of his films.
EDIT: oh, and Bambi's Mother. Good grief, how could I leave that out?! Maybe it's because I have not been able to watch that whole movie in years. That's some traumatic stuff for a little kid to see, let me tell you.

All of them!
I'm a very emotional person!!!!
Look at all the exclamation marks!!!!!!
Lilo & Stitch 2 did have me blubbering like a baby that has just had its right foot cut off and told that there is no Santa Claus for some reason.
Other memorable movies include: The Little Mermaid, some of the Winnie the Pooh (not sure why now, but I remembering waterworks for some reason - as opposed to watersports which is just creepy).
The Touchstone movie Dead Poet's Society always gets to me, so I stopped watching it and burned all evidence it ever existed.
Oh! And Dumbo! How can you NOT cry in Dumbo?
Strangely, some of the more obvious ones - such as Bambi - just leave me feeling meh.

I know, I was thinking the same thing, and would have put in a deadpan "I hate you" a la DisneyFan 2000 as a joke, but Samuel seems like a nice guy and I wouldn't want him to feel unwelcome, especially since he may not have understood the joke.JiminyCrick91 wrote:AHHHHHHHH! For me, just the recent ones although you won't believe it:
Brother Bear: I found it to be really touching and well played.
Treasure Planet: Because I can personally relate to Jim's story.
PS
And not Disney, but Monsters Inc ; I may not like the movie that much... but that ending is just beautiful.

there have only been a few that have made me cry like:
Bambi: When the mom dies
Dumbo: During Baby Mine
Treasure Planet: During the song I'm Still Here
Lion King: When Mufasa dies
and the one that made me cry the most was Lady and The Tramp 2: Scamps Adeventure, it was the song Alway's There that really got me because I watched it the day my grampa died (Feb. 22 of this year:( ) and I was stupid enough to rewind it and watch it again!

RE Half Blood Prince I fully didn't cry until Fawkes stopped singing.
And then I knew it was final.
That made me sad.
OH and if anyone hasnt seen Episode III of Star Wars don't read below... I only cried about...you know who dying....when I read it in the book.
In the movie I was like "BAH!"
Its that Disney magic that makes you go Awww.

I cried in Mulan... I swear to you. The scene where Mulan's father is trying to use his old sword despite the pain he was in made in cry. Everyone thought I was crazy for crying but... yeh, there you go. XD
I also remember crying in The Lion King when Mufasa dies--only someone with a heart of stone would be able to watch that scene and not feel BURNINGHOTTEARS run down their face. :/
Pocahontas' ending (where John Smith waves goodbye to Pocahontas in Algonquin and she reciprocates) makes me tear up but I don't think I ever actually cried...

I made fun of him on the forums and chat room too much.
I'm such a terrible person!
Anyway, ironically, not only have I never cried during a Disney movie, I never even cried during a movie, period.
Though, I have to admit, the scene of Mufasa's death almost does.

Odd...I don't think my heart is made of stone. Maybe titanium.Key wrote:I also remember crying in The Lion King when Mufasa dies--only someone with a heart of stone would be able to watch that scene and not feel BURNINGHOTTEARS run down their face. :/
I don't know...it's just that The Lion King never really *got* to me the way it got to others. I wasn't that impressed by the movie as a whole. Sure, there are a few individual elements of the film that I love immensely (Scar, Rafiki, and the song Can You Feel The Love Tonight), but I really can't get myself in a mood to ever watch the movie the whole way through without checking my watch every so often or fidgeting around. It's just not my cuppatea. Not even with Mufasa dying. The way I always see it is, "Simba you stupid kid! Why the hell would you listen to your Uncle Scar if he got you in trouble for the Elephant Graveyard?" Sure, I felt sorry that Mufasa died, but it really seemed like the perfect way for Simba to get a huge wake-up call as to what it would really mean to be king of the pridelands.

I never cried but I have had some deep emotion from films. After Bambi's mom gets shot and he's running around yelling "mother!?", that music in the back is so dreary and extremly sad, I didn't shed a tear, but when the great prince said "Your mother can't be with you anymore..." it leaves you with such a sadness in the pit of your stomach feeling, its amazing. I also felt some sadness during Bambi II the first time I saw it when they are walking back to the den and Bambi goes "She's never coming back. Is she?", and when Bambi is leaving with Mena and runs back to the prince. In all those scenes the emotion came from the music more than anything, so sad sounding. Old Yeller is a very touching story and made me feel quite remorse for the poor kid who had to shoot his dog.
But, just because you don't cry doesn't mean you didn't feel the emotional power of the scene, just means you didn't cry...
