FRANK & OLLIE DVD IS AWESOME. YOU NEED IT!

Post by quasi72 »

Hey guys, I just got my copy of FRANK AND OLLIE, and I have to say that the DVD is awesome. I had already watched the documentary. But the extras are excellent. Of course, duh, I wish there was more but oh, well... lol.
The analysis and anatomy of the scene from THE RESCUERS is so good. From scratch to the final product. All the steps of the process. It's just great. Oh, TANGELA, I know you'll love that part! :)

The out takes about animation and other animators are great. I specially love those featurettes of Andreas Deja and Glen Keane analyzing HANDS ON!!!! the work of Frank and Ollie in many sequences.

By the way, I have a question... I don't know if I should get the DVD on Walt Disney's life and persona (I don't rebember the name, sorry, but I know it's also a documentary). What extras does this dvd have?

Conclusion: ORDER FRANK AND OLLIE ON LINE NOW! You won't regret it. :D

I agree, it is a great disc. I told Tangela about it several times and even Private Messaged him about...

The DVD is Walt: the Man behind The Myth...get it, if you liked this you will probably love that one as well.

Amazon has it for $25.49. Is that an abnormal price?

This is probably one of those DVDs that I will purchase to fulfill my Dinsey Movie Club obligations. I have two left to purchase and would probably make this my 6th DVD purchase.

What extras does THE MAN BEHIND THE MYTH have? Cos I've seen the documentary on TV, but don't know if the DVD has bonus features. If so, tell me and I'll get it!!!

This is a great DVD and highly recommended!

I was a bit leery in getting this disc because I wondered what could they tell me that I don't already know. I wasn't sure I wanted to pony up the money for a re-tread of 'The Walt Disney Story' which I already had on DVD.

As it turns out, the movie takes an honest look at Walt's life.
Even though it is from Disney, it's not a sugar coated promotional puff piece, but rather an honest look at this man's life. It went into details that I had never heard, and I've read/seen lots of articles/specials about Walt.

The two hour movie in itself would make the DVD 'purchase-worthy' but when you add in 3 very well done and interesting bonus features (Walt: An Intimate View, Disney Legends, and Actors, Directors & Friends) averaging 30 minutes each, it elivates this disc to a must have.

LOL -
Okay, so if I sound like a Disney-rep trying to increase sales, believe you me, I'm not. It's just that I was so impressed with the movie and the DVD content.

Hello! Where can I buy Walt Disney: The man behind the myth? I looked at Amazon and didn't see it unless I didn't search in the right place. Thanks! :P
