Cinderellabration Show Video

Post by Kram Nebuer »

Cinderellabration: Lights of Romance 2006 in Tokyo Disneyland has returned. Unlike, the American parks, the Tokyo Disney Resort holds many themed events that often become annual events like Disney Princess Days and holiday events. I believe this is Cinderellbration's 2nd return, and a site I have been visiting a lot after googling for Cinderellabration pictures, has been updated with this year's park decorations and show pictures. I have been waiting months for him to make the video available online again and now it is!

So if you were wondering why Cinderellabration was IMMENSELY popular in Tokyo Disneyland, yet the WDW version of the show seemed too brief and forgettable, watch the original Japanese version! (Like most TDLR shows, dialogue is in Japanese, but most songs are in English)

http://www.jtcent.com/disneyland/specia ... ec06s.html

I have yet to watch it as it is still downloading, but I know it included A LOT more characters including the Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, and an assortment of Animated Royalty, as well as Cinderella's carriage and horses. These characters were deleted from the WDW show because the stage was not big enough to hold them all. Oh and it's called "Lights of Romance" because it was a nighttime show!

*ETA: Important Side Note! I'm guessing due to bandwidth issues or somethinig or other, Tokyo Joe only makes videos available for a limited amount of time, so hurry and watch it before its too late! And make sure to explore the site, as it is filled with other great information and pictures!

Thanks for the link. I enjoyed watching it. Minnie & Mickey looked adorable in their outfits.

Ye gods! Color me embarrassed! I mentioned in my e-mail to Aaron (for the podcast) that the show is 40 minutes long...and it's the same length as the lite version in MK!

But they still have Mickey and Minnie, so they'll always be superior to MK!

yeah after seeing this video, this version is 101x better then mk.

I love the variety of characters in this show & the who no cinderella speech. haha.

yeah, this version is way way better....

but at the same time i can see why WDW couldnt copy it completly. the carriage & all those characters all over the smaller mk stage.

Thanks for this clip. I've never seen the "Cinderellabration" at Disney World, in that case, this was from Tokyo Disneyland. It had a nice opening introduction in Japanese. :o Where's the english subtitles? What a show! Thanks to everyone who watches this entire show. I would have to seperate the entire show into segments, so that I will post it on YouTube soon. It is about 100 MB file.

Do you have Tokyo Joe's permission to put his video on YouTube?

No, I can't put these on YouTube,
That's good, because I doubt he'd like it if you were posting his clips for free online and possibly taking credit for it.

Cinderellabration to close

Post by musicradio77 »

For those of you have seen the Tokyo Disneyland version of the show, this is sad news for Disney World geeks. WDWMagic was announced today:

The final performance of Cinderellabration will take place on September 16th 2006, with the replacement show slated to open September 30th 2006. It is not yet clear what the replacement show will be.

I've never seen the Disney World version of "Cinderellabration" except the Tokyo version is the one Kram Nebuer posted on its first thread.

We're gonna to miss that show. :(

Escapay said they'll just bring back Cinderella's Surprise Celebration. But I guess with the new event they'll want a new show. I'd like to see a new, possibly better show than see the return of the other show. It's nice to have new shows.

musicradio77, you're not really missing much of the Disney World version of "Cinderellabration." If you saw the Japanese version I posted, it is definitely the better one. The only difference is that the WDW version is during the daytime and is in English with dialogue you can pretty much guess what will be. Also, when the princesses are introduced, the Grand Duke says who they are and where they're from (e.g. Princess Aurora and Prince Philip from the Dark Forest). Here is some video which pretty much shows what's different:

All in all, if you saw the Tokyo version, that's better.

Thanks for these pics. "Cinderellabration" will continue at Disney World until September 16th. If you do a search on YouTube under "Cinderellabration" for the Disney World one, it has brief clips from the show. Here it is.
