I voted for Raven, because though she doesn't always show it off, I have heard her sing a few ballads and it was quite impressive. Duff and Romano both sing pretty well, and Lohan can handle pop songs decently. Ashley Tisdale has surprised me lately... didn't expect her to be a singer. Lalaine, however, is horrible. I'm not too familiar with the others.

Raven can sing, and I commend her for it. I also agree with you about Duff and Romano. Lohan sounds okay, but she should have never taken up singing...Just cuz you play a singer in a movie (Freaky Friday), doesn't mean you should start a record deal. I mean, you don't see Reese Witherspoon and/or Jaquin Pheonix making freakin' Best Of albums, do you?AwallaceUNC wrote:I voted for Raven, because though she doesn't always show it off, I have heard her sing a few ballads and it was quite impressive. As for Tisdale, it seems like Disney is just trying to soak up all they can from Disney Channel Divas. She sounded fine on A Dream Is A Wish, but if you've seen High School Musical, you've heard her sing...and, friend, it is a sound that makes you want to pull out your own ears. It's all high and squeaky, and didn't even compliment the voice of the guy who played her brother.
I also agree with you about Lalaine. If you've heard her rendition of Cruella De Vil, you know that girl had no business ever putting her mouth to a mic.
And Everyone should definitely check out Aly and AJ. Their new studio album is in stores now and they are great. The album is all original songs (written by the girls), save for the few remakes that have popped up on Disney Channel in recent months.
...and Anneliese is just a flat-out BABE who can belt it.

I voted for Aly and AJ. Since last January when I saw clips of their song "No One" that was featured in the movie Ice Princess, I first thought that their music would mainly be for younger kids. Boy was I wrong. I bought their CD last year and was blown away. Their CD is a permant fixture in my CD player and I listen to it everyday. I love that they play guitar and write their own songs and its stuff that you can actually relate to.
