Thanks for posting this info for us.
Is there any update on the release of Lady and the Tramp?
It had better be out next week or I will kill Benuvista! (or something violent to that effect)

I'm pleasantly surprised we'll be getting "Muppets Wizard of Oz", a title I didn't feel an urgent need to import from the US. Though I'll certainly be buying the R4 edition.

I cannot believe that we're not getting Lady & The Tramp... that's just ridiculous. Not happy

I'm sure we will eventually.

After all, it was six months or so between US Lion King and Australia.

Well that was when the system changed.
Lion King was the first film to begin the 2 Special Editions a year thing so Disney must have decided to bring it out in Febuaray so that we could get used to having one in Feb and one in Oct.

I just see no reason why Disney would hold off on releasing Lady and the Tramp here but I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens in the next few months. I just wish I didn't have to wait though.

It's been a bit of an issue for some here recently.

The Simpsons DVDS, for example, offfered removable stickers on the front covers. Come to think of it, so did the Batman Special Editions.

Universal had a reversable cover on their Serenity DVD. So obviously the studios are aware of the fan complaints, but many feel that their hands are tied by the OFLC (Aussie ratings board).

I know it is terrible !.... it is enough for me to not buy DVD's in Australia anymore and to import ALL instead of just most.

Hopefully they will come to their senses and reduce the logo or change it back to the way it was.

In New Zealand they just stick the same stickers they've always used over the Australian ratings. I use to wish they'd stop putting the NZ rating stickers on, but they look better than the new Aussie ones, though they don't always cover them properly, because they only come in one size.

Or Bambi 2, for that matter. Doesn't bode well for Little Mermaid in/around October!

I don't think the statement about The Little Mermaid is true.
The October Special Edition release always comes out on time.
Besides Disney knows that Little Mermaid is the most requested Disney DVD of all time all over the world and I swear if it doesn't come out on time then their distributing company will have a riot on their hands! :D

The Lion King came out a good four months after the US date. (October 2003 US, February 2004 Australia). With Lady & the Tramp so far behind, who knows?

To be honest I don't have any comprehensions as to what would cause such a delay. Can anyone provide any insight as to why the dvd (which would definately sell well) is delayed? Also, should I hold my breath for chip & dale + ducktales releases or just bite the bullet and pay silly money for region 1?
