Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire for me! I haven't decided which version yet though. I want the 2-disc, but the single disc is so much cheaper...

Other than that, nothing else looks at all appealing this week.

Other a.k.a. Jarhead (Widescreen)

With Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, however, which I'm asking for that as a birthday present is another story.

Hrm..Single Disc, or 2-Disc "Deluxe" Edition. I have a question for Warner - Since when, does a DVD gain the status of "Deluxe" when it holds within itself 3 games you play on your DVD player, 3 featurettes and some additional scenes. I mean really, I'd love to take a vote to see how much people actually watch the so called "special" features on the Harry Potter discs, nevertheless having to pay over $20 dollars for it.

Now the film, watching the film, is completely understandable. One of my favorites, and the best of the series, but, could they try to make a set worth my time. Seriously.

Amazon has the HP 2-Disc for $19.96 pre-order. That's not a bad price, and it's the cheapest of any of the major retailers. Take this chance to support UD. I'm going to pre-order mine now...

Aaron, as much as I love your (and not to mention Luke's) tips about Amazon, being fourteen going on fifteen, it's already hard to get into films I'm dying to see, much less pre-ordering a 2-Disc DVD online.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be supporting UltimateDisney, but...

Oh, sorry, tlm... my post wasn't supposed to be directed toward you. I see now that it seems that way, following your post. I was just letting everybody know that Amazon has it up for such a good price.

Harry Potter Prices:
Store - 1disc - 2disc - Freebie
Best Buy - 14.99 - 20.99
Circuit City - 13.99 - 22.99 - lithograph
Target - 16.99 - 22.99 - 3D cover w/ 2-disc purchase
Amazon - 15.96 - 19.96

The freebies are so tempting! There has got to be a way to get them both without having to buy two copies.

What I found interesting was the 3D cover at target because it's labeled DELUXE edition when the dvd is clearly labeled Special Edition.

Remember if you are Reward Zone member of Best Buy, they will price match any 'advertised' price of "Harry Potter/Goblet of Fire". Fortunately for them, they have the best price for the 2-disc Special Edition at $20.99 and I have a bunch of $5 reward zone gift certificates so I will get mine for free along with the 2-disc of "Jarhead".

The time my dad bought the scanner/printer/copier was when he got the Best Buy Reward Zone (because I encouraged him to and the sales clerk.) So now we're 75% of the way there for the $10 we spent on membership. The recent iPod trip my uncle bought boosted me up to 90%. Now all I need is just to buy another DVD to make up for my membership. So, I'm not too worried about not getting enough reward points by 1/31/07 to make Reward Zone worth it.

I have to ask though, how is it you have so many Reward Certificates? Don't they expire if you don't use it within a month?

Reward Zone certificates have expiration dates on them from 90 to 120 days from the time they were issued. All of mine expire towards the end of March and first part of April.

I will use 7 of my $5 certificates on Tuesday and pay the difference in cash. Shouldn't be more than a couple of bucks.

IGN.com has posted their review of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: 2-Disc Special Edition.

I'm actually thinking about picking up my copy at Target, just to get the 3D cover. I can't believe that Best Buy isn't offering something, this time around.

none as the deluxe 2 disc HP and the GoF is not on sale. I'm buying it after Easter.
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

I went to Target and picked up my "deluxe" edition of 2-disc Harry Potter. I love the holograph slipcover - it really looks great. The deluxe editions were flying off the shelf - I got the last copy, and there were tons of the plain versions (fullscreen, widescreen, and regular 2-disc). Target was selling the deluxe edition for $22.99.

I also picked up Howl's Moving Castle. It's slipcover simply duplicates the regular cover art. Target was selling it for $19.99.

I was very disappointed because they had no copies of The Shaggy Dog or The Shaggy D.A. at all! I didn't have time to run to two stores during my lunch hour, so I'm going to have to run out to Wal-Mart tonight or tomorrow during lunch.

I got up early, to go to the Super Target. I wanted to check out the 3D cover for the 2-Disc Edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I liked it so much, I bought it!

I wish Best Buy would have offered this 3D cover, so I could have gotten the Reward Zone points. Oh, well!

Now, I'm off to watch the movie. :D
