Meet the Robinsons has been pushed back to March? Wow...that means this is the first year without a new film from WDFA since 1993 (in between Aladdin and The Lion King).

Didn't Disney announce December 15th for Robinsons a month or two ago? I can't see them pushing it back to a spring graveyard release date. IMDB is still listing it with the December date, though it does list February dates for places in Europe. The dates for TCON: Prince Caspian, and Pirates 3 do seem right though.

Heh...I was just about to post this.
Those are all Disney films? I don't recognise a couple of them. Anyway, it appears that the releases of Ratatouille and PotC3 are flip-flopped from this years PotC2 and Cars (less than a year for PotC3, more than a year for Ratatouille). And Prince Caspian is coming out on my birthday!! :D I now know what I'm doing that evening... 8)

Also on Box Office Mojo: a couple of days ago they announced that Cars would be rated 'G'. I was expecting that, but now it's official.

Meet the Robinson is also pushed back to Marsh in USA?

In France it will indeed be released in february 2007. No Disney movie at Xmas 2006, a first in France since Little Mermaid Ibelieve! It's a tradition in France to go see the Disney movie on holidays!

Im really excited For Pirates and Narnia!! :D

Personally Pirates 3 needs to change the release date.

Personally even though may 2007 is gonna have huge blockbuster films (shrek 3, spider-man 3, Pirates of The Carribbean 3) thats WAY too much for one month to release. Plus Harry Potter maybe in first week of June.

here are the release dates

Spider-Man 3: May 4th 2007
Shrek 3: May 18th 2007
Pirates of The Carribbean 3: May 25th 2007
Harry Potter and The Oder of The Pheonix: First weekend in June

So it looks like Spiderman 3 would make the most money out of the 3 because it has two weeks by it self and it will probblay make around 250milllion by shrek 3 comes out.

I personally think that Shrek 3 will not do as good as shrek 2 but it will still do better then the 1st. So it will probblay have a big opening (even maybe make more in its first week than the last one). But it will probblay have a huge drop of money when Pirates come out.

Its hard to say how Pirates will do since the 2nd one isnt out yet. Im sure though that it will make alot of money.

Harry Potter is hard to say. People liked Goblet of Fire but with all these other movies out it will deffinatley make the least out of the Four.

If they release them all at the same time her would maybe be the totals of the movies.

Spiderman 3 (may 4th)- Total of money 380million
Shrek 2 (may 18th)- Total of money 220million.
Pirates of the carribbean 3 (may 25) 250million
Harry Potter and The Order of The Pheonix (june 1st?)- total 180million

while those are still very good numbers I think that if they gave them enough time by themselves that the films would make more money.

Here are the totals if they were released at different times

Spider-Man 3 (may 4th)- 410million
Shrek 3- (may 25th)- 350million
Pirates of The Carribbean 3 (July)- 315million
Harry Potter 5 (November)- 300million
Narnia 2(december)- 300million

I think thats what it will look like.

When a studio is about to put up a huge release, it is almost alway challenged by the other companies. In this case it seems like there is going to be a huge battle royale, but all in all that's not so strange of an occurance. I think that each will run the top spot until the next comes out. and then Harry will remain at number 1 for a while. After all if you've read the book, then you'd know that this movie is going to be a big one. I can remember the frenzy when this book came out, i cna't imagine the movie causing any less of a comotion. I'm afraid that Pirates may make the less money of them all.

Do we know anything about about Ratatoville? i think this is the first time that i've heard about it.

According to darkhorizons.com today:

Peter Dinklage (TV's "Threshold", "Find Me Guilty") is the first to come aboard "Underdog," Walt Disney Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment's live-action big-screen adaptation of the classic 1960s cartoon says The Hollywood Reporter.

"Underdog" followed the adventures of a humble dog named Shoeshine Boy who became the superheroic Underdog who spoke in rhymes.

Dinklage will portray Simon Barsinister, an evil scientist who once created a Big Dipper Machine in an effort to steal the world's water supply. Shooting begins April 10 in Rhode Island under the helm of Frederik Du Chau.

Underdog........by.....Disney? Well, that's definately a great news to me. I loved the Underdog as much as J. Ward cartoons (Rocky and Bullwinkle, for example).

I just can't imagined that next year will be the best year for movies, especially the Simpsons movie.

Cars will be rated 'G', you mean it will lack "mild action" and "thematic elements"?

Wow. Box Office Mojo had Order of the Pheonix as being released on July 13th. But, I assume that will change so it is released about mid-June.

What the audience really likes is a good story. Harry Potter, Spider-Man both have continuing stories that audiences are very interested in. Pirates will make a lot as it will be the final one. So, what does that leave in last? That's right, Shrek 3.

I have a feeling, after Shrek 2 and all of its popularity, that people could be a little Shrek-ed out. Especially if they re-watch Shrek 2 and realize "Hey, it wasn't really that good."

So, Spider-Man 3 will make a lot of money as it is the first to be released. Then, Shrek 3 will come out, and make a decent amount of money, but Spider-Man 3 will make a big dent in it. Then, Pirates 3 will some out and people will decide to see that rather than the other two. So, Pirates could lead the way for a little bit. Then, Harry Potter will come out, and possibly lead the way until The Simpsons Movie comes out.

Man, I just realised what I'm going to be doing with my Friday and Saturday nights all summer (of 2007 that is).

Those are BOGUS numbers. There are way too many HP fans to not get as much money as you think. Spider-Man 3 might be good, but there are just too many HP fans. If you asked me here is how I would rank them:

Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix
Spider-Man 3
Pirates of The Carribbean 3
Shrek 3
TCON Prince Caspian

I just think that Harry Potter would win because of sooooooooo many fans.

Actually there isn't.

Harry Potter's biggest movie has only made an estimated $317 million at the box office, domestically. While some people refer to "Order of the Phoenix" as one of the best books, that didn't help Prisoner of Azkaban.

Personally, I pretty much agree, Spider-Man will top them all.

I think audiences will get(like LOS said) Shreked out and soon Piratesed out, so those won't do as well as Spider-Man.

I think it's a bit too earlit for estimates, but I think it'll come out like this:

1. Spider-Man
2. TCON Prince Caspian(I'm not kidding)
3. Pirates of The Caribbean 3
4. Shrek 3
5. Harry Potter
