Do you have a certain time you like to watch movies?

Post by yanya »

... and I don't mean just watching a movie to kill some time. You have a movie you really want to watch, do you have a certain time you watch it?

I wait until it gets really dark out. It's just annoying during the day. I mean... I have blinds, but some of the light still gets thru. The main problem is that my windows and TV are opposite one another. So you can see the blinds on either side of the TV, very annoying.

So yeah, if I'm really wanting to watch a movie... I wait til' late night.

Anybody else?

This may sound really weird and childish, but this is what I do:

Late at night (it has to be at night for that "theatrical effect"), after everyone's in bed, I get my mini dvd-player, and whatever movies I want to watch. Then I get in bed, under all the covers, and watch my movie that way. It's very relaxing.

Several times:

1. Strange as it is, after I take my shower, I like to just sit for a good 10 or 20 minutes still in a towel and bathrobe and watch a portion of amovie while in my room. I don't change yet, I just sit in the towel and bathrobe.

2. Late at night, usually after I'm done on the computer, I put in a movie and watch it for 10 minutes, change to another movie, watch that for 10 minutes, and keep changing until I find a movie I want to watch all the way through.

3. Weekends I usually spend an afternoon watching my TV on DVD sets, though I may get in two movies instead.

4. Usually in the afternoons on weekdays I like to have a movie playing in the background.

I find it harder these days to actually sit down and watch a movie straight through. It's easier for me to watch portions over a period of time.

I like to watch movies at night. Usually, around 8 o'clock or later. However, I do watch movies during the day in the summer. That's when I have my annual Disney dvd marathon (starting with Snow White).

When it comes to movies, in the theatre or at home, I'm definately a night person. I especially can't stand going to a movie theatre in the afternoon, it makes me feel so old.

This is actually a really great question!!! I really don't have a set time which I think I should start doing (this is for watching my DVDs). Like let's take today for instance, I come home around 4 wanting to watch the new edition of DOG DAY AFTERNOON, I was also really tired, but wanted to see it becuase I haven't watched it for awile. Anyways sun still out, I had to close the blinds to reduce the flair from the sun. Now the living room where I waltch all my movies (SONY WEGA 32 HDTV), is dark. I lay down on my couch watching the movie. Before you know it, I am in a deep, deep sleep!!! I really tryed everything to saty awake, but I was too tired! So I think I should defintly have my rest before going into a movie...night time seems best also, becuase eveyone is asleep, and I wont be hogging the LIVING ROOM TV. I have to watch WALK THE LINE before the ACADEMY AWARDS, and re-vist a WALT DISNEY classic...LADY and the TRAMP by the end of Saturday!!

I usually watch my movies after I come home from work, late at night (~12am, usually).

Well, I work at a video store so... XD Sometimes I just can't wait until morning to watch that sole movie I'd been waiting all day for.
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

Well.....I love dark during movies, so if it's daytime we need to close all the shades and turn off all the lights.

I tend to wait until my really little kids are in bed - I don't mind if the older kids watch with me.

I love watching movies in the theater....and waste way too much of my money there. If only I could consider going and NOT buying the popcorn and sodas. The smell of the popcorn gets me every time, though.

I enjoy a movie after everything I need to do is done. So usually late night. If I have something to do after the movie I usually can't concentrate on it that well

At home, I watch movie either very late at night or early in the morning. On nights when I can't sleep, I'll surf my satellite to see what's on and maybe pop in an old or new tape for nostalgia's sake. Plus, I currently have no DVD player in my room that works. :P During the day, I watch my DVD's. I usually watch from 7-12 (if I stay awake) and then get on the internet for about 8 hours.

At the theater, it all depends on what day of the week it is. I will not go to a movie on mondays, tuedays, thursday and sundays unless it's A. Summer, B. with my parents or C. a very special occasion. On wednesdays, I only go with my friends after school, ditto for Fridays. But it has to be late afternoon, not in the evening. I have the opposite effect; going in the evening makes me feel acient unless it's on a.... Saturdays are time free days, I will go with anyone at anytime on a saturday.

God, I'm weird. :P

Usually late at night, and if i'm doing homework, I can't concentrate that well without music or something going on in the background.

I'm hardly ever home and on the weekends, I'm running errands during the day. Sunday nights don't work because I've got to get up early on Monday. So that leaves me with Saturday nights (and on rare occasions afternoons) and I love curling up on the couch and watching a movie. I don't like to turn the lights out though cause the glare of the tv on my white walls is distracting.
It's up to you and me, to face our destiny. The jury's here so let's take the stand.

For a movie theather, it doesn't matter what time or at what day. Same goes if I watch it in the car.

As long as I'm at a theater or the car, I can watch a movie at any time.

It works differently for a home screen though. Usually I get really bored with what I watch if I watch it during the morning alot of the times. However I pay attention to it much better and enjoy it more when it's latter in the evening or at night.

At home, at the theater, or in a car, I prefer night. The reason being for home and the car as it reminds me of being at the theater. As for the theater, I don't like walking out of it at 2:00 pm so I can be blinded.

I like to start a 90-minute movie between 8:30 PM and 9 PM, so that it ends at 10 or 10:30.
