Correct Starion... that's what Israel Rap/ Hip-Hop is about!!
it's all very patiotic- zionistic type singing and helps israeli teens have something to identify with.
If you've noticed. in the clip i made a link to before you see alot of israeli flags and red on the screen symbolizing blood. this particular song is especially patriotic, it is called "Ha'Tikva" (The Hope), which - ironicly- is also the title of israels national anthem, though the words are not at all similar. in the song, Subliminal (the rapper) raps about israeli soldiers who died, terrorist bombings, and patriotism. he curses a lot (which isn't really a problem in israel) but mixes it in with very meaningful zionistic remarks.. such as:
"ki lo nolad ha ben zona sheh ya'atzor et israel!"
which means: "Not one son of a bitch has been born who can stop israel"
but of course, aside from the zionistic songs... he also sings other types of songs talking about how good he is in bed.
and now to answer your question Starion, i myself cannot exactly understand what the real difference between Rap and Hip-Hop really is... but i think it's that hip-hop as more melody then rap does (correct me if im worng ppl!), so then i guess i'd have to catagorise Subilminal as Rap-Hop or Hip-Rap because he's kind of a mixture of both.
