As in all retail stores, it is the customer attitude that works for me. If you go in to a store with the attitude that they owe you something, you will be treated differently than if you go in and ask questions.

I have never heard of a Best Buy store that won't price match with advertised competitors prices. That is part of their reasons for being the number one electronic store in America. They are always open to better prices and will match anything. When I bought my Front Projection system, I had a price from a competitor that was advertised and it was almost three hundred ($300) less than Best Buy. I went in with questions and ultimately Best Buy matched the price and I went home a happy camper, and with my new projector.

As far as LATT goes, I will get the Circuit City price match and get the "Tramp" plushie. I have a "Lady" plushie that I got at the Disney store in Branson, Missouri last year, so now I will have a matching set.

Incidentally, I have also pre-ordered LATT at Toys R Us to get their 'cheesy' little plushies, which I will probably give to my granddaughter.

I think Circuit City is offering "Go Fetch" cards. Best Buy is offering the plushie of Tramp.

dvdjunkie, you can giveme the plush toys if you don't want them. j/k I think your granddaughter will enjoy the plush toys. :)

I got the Wal-Mart circular today. The CD is 12 Disney Favorites - "WalMart Exclusive" Doggone Fun Songs. The front of the CD has 5 circles of characters. Pluto and Goofy, Balu and Mowgli, Pongo and Perdita, Woody and Buzz (why are they on this?) and in the middle is LATT. Says it's a $12.00 value.

There is no price listed in the circular.

I'll probably get this with the CD for the kids.
...and so you two are absolutely identical? You know I'm sure I can get you a part in Toy Story 3... I'm sorry. Are we back? All right girls...lovely talking to you.

Again, dvdjunkie, it has nothing to do with customer attitude. On the times when I've been turned down, it wasn't because I was pushy. In fact, I was very polite. The fact is that it is Best Buy policy. The times when I was turned down were when the manager happened to be the one who checked me out, and he simply follows that policy strictly.

What do you mean "incomplete"? You mean they don't have booklet inserts with the chapter names on them? I've noticed alot of the cheap dvd's they have don't have inserts anymore, but I've never had a Disney dvd that I've bought from Walmart be "incomplete".

If you buy a movie at walmart it probably will not come with the coupon booklets and this is because they sell them cheaper so Disney doesn't worry to send them movies with coupon booklets.

Hmm, I did not know this. That is why I did not get my coupon for Toy Story II in my Toy Story 10th Anniversary edition.

I may have to start buying my Disney dvd's elsewhere.

Just to add my two cents:
Walmart prices vary greatly from store to store.
New release Disney movies have been as low as 13.87 to about 15.97 around here. If they advertise a price in a circular, it is usually the highest possible price you will see in stores. We have about eleven Walmarts here in Vegas. I think 5 or 6 are Supercenters. ( another one on the way too  ) Since they will not advertise this low a price on paper, I dont see why Best Buy would price match this. Am I wrong on this?
Points dont mean a whole lot if the savings are more than the points are worth in cash. I usually just see what the price is while getting our food and diapers there, and then decide what is worth more.

GOGOinVegas, Best Buy will match "Advertised" prices only. Not a circular that says low price. The price must be an advertised price for Best Buy to match it.

Rite Aid is offering a free Vextra Pocket Radio with the purchase of the Lady and the Tramp. I remember that Rite Aid gave away a free radio with Cinderella too.
magicalwands wrote:Reserves must be made by Monday, February 27th.

If you are going to play with the plushies or show them off on your shelf next to your dvd, I'd go for the Toys R Us offer. For me, I'm just going for Toys R Us because I'm giving them to my little sister. (And because I reserved it before I knew Best Buy was offering a plushie too.)
Before Monday? I still didn't get a chance to pre-order the DVD from Toys R US. I'll try to preorder the DVD from Toys R Us on Monday anyways. I read somewhere that the plushies will cost about $15 USD on Tuesday. Or maybe I should just pre-order the DVD from Bestbuy on Monday instead. I can always buy the plushies from Toys R Us on Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll spend $15 USD more, but I'll get three plushies.

At the Disney Store, I didn't see any plush toys of Lady or Tramp. I'll look again.

I'll be buying mine at Best Buy, use the lowest price I can find (probably Circuit City or Ultimate Electronics), have Best Buy price match, and I'll get the Reward Zone points, and the Tramp plushie!

That's what I like to hear, a loyal Best Buy customer who understands the price-matching benefits of going to Best Buy.

I have never been to a Best Buy that won't match a competitors advertised price.

jamminjake, you have probably just said the stupidest thing a person could say. "Lady and the Tramp" the book is on sale for $9.99, but not the DVD, and it hasn't even come out yet. Better get your eyes checked, and re-read what you saw. Then come back to the thread and correct what the real price is.

I just got a Reward Zone Card at Best Buy a few weeks ago, when I got my Tax Refund. The points are very tempting, but I think I'm going to pick this up at the Disney Store. That picture they're offering is beautiful, plus it's the Spaghetti Scene... I'm a sucker for that Spaghetti Scene.
Thanks to all that offered to help with my Avatar...Starion, RJKD23 and cj!

AwallaceUNC is absolutely correct Dvdjunkie about Best Buy. It is strictly a YMMV as to whether they will pm + give you a premium. Many, probably most of them do but there are some that say it is'nt the same deal when the freebie is different. It has nothing to do with customer attitude but the way the BB employee was trained. Up until recently Toys R Us always price matched too (not any more) but they never would give me the free item. I was always told it was the lower price or the freebie, BUT I have read of people that had Toys R Us that would pm & give a freebie. It's not right to give a concrete statement that ALL of the Best Buys follow a certain policy (unless of course you've shopped in all of them).

Mine will only price match a place if it is in Carson City, Reno is a little over 20 miles away and they wont price match the stores that are up there which includes Circuit City, So the only places around me they will price match is basically Wal-Mart and Target

BB will price match any price whether or not it's advertised. If you don't have the ad with you (or it's not in an ad, just a lower price) they will call the store, ask how much it is, and price match that way.

And this is taken from BB's price matching policy:
We do not allow "stacking" of multiple offers (e.g., free items, plus price matching, plus rebates, etc.).
It all depends on how well the employee you're dealing with knows the policy, and/or if they're willing to enforce it.

And you don't need to jump down jamminjake's throat. He misread something.

Now I don't know where to get my LATT DVD! Those GO FETCH cards that Circuit City is offering look so cute and I could play the game with my older nieces and nephews, but I would like to have my Reward Zone points from Best Buy. I'm only buying one copy of the DVD, unless I get a copy for my 2 year old niece for her birthday @ Best Buy and give her the tramp plushie, and get my copy at CC and get the Go Fetch cards for me. I'd still get the Reward Zone points......

What should I do??? :o
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.
