So Dear to My Heart

Post by GhostHost »

I have a multi region DVD player that would be able to play the Region 2 release. However someone on EBAY has an Asian release that they claim is region free and not a bootleg:
http://cgi.ebay.com/So-Dear-to-My-Heart ... dZViewItem

Also there is this Brizian release:

Are these legit?
Thanks

No Authentic Disney Dvd is ever released region free (or region 0), so the Korean release is definitely a bootleg.

As far as the Brazilian release, it's harder to tell, but it looks like it might be authentic. However, I would probably just pick up the Region 2, since you know that one would definitely be authentic.

If we have any Brazilian posters, perhaps they could shed more light on the Brazilian release.

Is the R2 version better? Isn't it usuallu the opposite way, that the R1-releases are the better ones with the normal speed and everything? :o
Disney DVD's 2005: Bambi PE, Alice in Wonderland SE, Tarzan SE, Cinderella PE - much much more!

That's right!! I only buy Region 1!! But since I'm desperate to watch So Dear To My Heart I bought it Region 2 from Amazon UK. I'm still waiting for it.
Also, since the Winnie the Pooh Learning Adventure DVD One For All-All for One was a Target exclusive release and it is so difficult to obtain I bought it Region 2.

With the availability and affordability of Multi Region Players in the US it is a party!!!

Has this gone (or going) OOP? I noticed So Dear to my Heart is no longer available from Amazon UK except through the used sellers, ditto Amazon Germany. It still seems to be available new from Amazon France, however.

I'm very content with the DVD I bought from Amazon UK. I think they have it available from time to time. It's an excellent movie. Now I know where the Mr. Owl from the Sing Along series came along!!!

Actually it's a different owl. The Mr Owl from the sing-a-long series is from two shorts made in the 1960s 'Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom' and 'Melody: Adventures in Music'.

Correction: Those shorts were made in the 1950s. ;)
