I haven't been to Disney World since 2000, but here's my list of favorite places:
1. Magic Kingdom (duh)
2. TIE: Epcot and MGM Studios (I love the Great Movie Ride, but EPCOT's Spaceship Earth is awesome)
3. Animal Kingdom (the only thing I liked was the River Rapids)

Teh Aaron on Fantasmic! :

It is indeed better in Disneyland. Instead of being confined in an arena, it takes place on the Rivers of America. Plus, rather than the Pocahontas scene (which is nice, but sort of a silly movie to have such a prominent scene in the show when you think about all the other movies they could have used), there's an AWESOME sword fight between Peter Pan and Captain Hook on a pirate ship. Of course, the seating situation isn't as good (especially since there are no seats), but I still enjoy it more than the MGM Studios version. Nonetheless, Fantasmic! in any form pretty much rocks. :thumb:

4. Animal Kingdom
3. Epcot
2. Magic Kingdom
1. MGM-Studios!

The water parks were great too! Actually I just went to Typhoon Lagoon (which I hear they just built a new slide thingy there). How is the other one? I think its Blizzard Beach.

Interesting, Renata. I've heard of the Peter Pan segment and think it sounds like the perfect fit. I'd LOVE to see that. I agree with you on Pocahontas. I've always felt that the segment seems so out of place and really disrupts the storyline's flow in Orlando. Its inclusion was promotional, from what I understand, and there always rumors that they will replace it with Peter Pan in the near future (though, from what I understand, they don't have room for the needed pirate ship behind the mountain... can't they just do without it, though?).

I've seen heavily-airbrushed pictures of the DL set for Fantasmic, which looks like it includes Tom Sawyer's cabin. If so, I'd prefer that to the MGM set. It just looks so much more thematic and atmospheric to me when I see Maleficent hovering over the cottage.

Wow! I just found this thread, and can't believe it has been in Off-Topic all this time! Move it! :D

As for the topic, this is one of the few times I go and look back on an old list I wrote and haven't changed any opinions! AT ALL! But since I was bored, I decided to go back and edit to give more detailed reasons to my likings of the parks! :)

Aaron- Yes, Fantasmic is STILL lame! :P

The only time I went to WDW was back in 1997, but here's how I rated the parks based on that one visit-

1. EPCOT (Quite interesting, enjoyed the Land Pavilion quite a bit)
2. Disney-MGM Studios (Tower of Terror, enough said!)
3. Magic Kingdom (disappointing, especially Alien Encounter - yuck!)

Animal Kingdom wasn't open in 1997, so I've never been.

yikes! Its hard to pick ONE fav...but I would have to say
MAGIC KINGDOM is my over-all fav theme park.
Followed by DAK
then Epcot
then Disney Studios.

my fav attractions in each are:

MK- Space Mountain (my hubby worked there & the now DARK Alien Encounter, as well as Buzz, Timekeeper, TTA, Astro, CoP...every attraction except Speedway-so i love Tomorrowland- we still get backdoored on like all these attractions- haha.
But also @ MK I LOVE Thunder, Mickeys PhilHarMagic, and the Tiki Room. The best parade(s) are also @ MK- Share a Dream Come True, Spectro...and Wishes is awesome too.
Plus all the holiday special ticket events are here: MNSSHP, and MVMCP.
Yeah- u can see why it is my overall fav park.

EPCOT- i love Journey into YOUR Imagination w/ Figment even though the original attraction was by far the best of the three-but at least the 3rd features more Figment then the 2nd take on it.
I also LOVE TEST TRACK as it is one of my fav attractions resort-wide, and also favs in the park are Soarin', and i also like Mission Space and El Rio De Tiempo! The Mexican Small World!
Oh yeah- Illuminations is def the best fire-works display I think ive ever seen. Anyone ever go on the Aqua Seas Tour where u can scuba-snorkel in the big tank at Living Seas? Amazing...$100 per person- but def an unforgettable experience.

Studios- yeah-i worked at this park for my CP & for a while was my fav cuz it was like "home" to me. But Studios holds my most favorite attraction resort wide of all: FANTASMIC! Plus I fet to see all my buddies there whenever I visit.

DAK- I cant WAIT for EE in a few weeks! Def the most beautful park w/ the theme and atmosphere, it by far feels like the cleanest, & i love all the animals & watching people freak out during Its Tough To Be a Bug-haha-it never gets old. Yes, I still get scared during Dinosaur, and the FOTLK is a show that u can not miss when in the park.

Out of the water parks- i like Typhoon, & my better half perfers Blizzard (for the scarier slides)...
We usually end up @ Typhoon-like I am sure we will this time too :)
They have that awesome water-coaster Crushin' Gusher & the more mild slides compared to Blizzards more wild slides-(yeah im a chicken) and u can snorkel in the shark reef-not bad for something that doesnt cost u extra cash.

But dont forget PI & Downtown Disney and the golf courses! LBV & Eagle Ridge are my favs- so beautful...hot...but beautful.
and oh yeah- the mini-golf- especially Fantasia Gardens- i also get to see my old co-workers there whenever i visit the course- its still just as fun as the first time I played there.

Sorry so long...i could go on about WDW for hours. haha.

1. Magic Kingdom- No other place captures the magic like this park.
2. Epcot- The Theming here has always amazed me. i always have a lot of fun here!
3. Animal Kingdom- This park is only gonna get a lot better with the addition of everest!
4. MGM Studios- This park needs work in my opinion. It was the biggest dissapointment i've had in a theme park in a long time. (the biggest dissapointment ever was Universal Studios Florida) the park didn't have a lot to it. the theming was only so-so in my opinion and there seemed to be a lot of dead space. it was really sad for me. Fantasmic however blew my mind and i loved it!

I can't wait to go back to all the parks in early june! hopefully things will be a billion times better since the last time i was there... 4 years ago

1) MGM Studios - Because it's still "Disney" without being just "other Disneyland" to me like the Magic Kingdom... which I still love.
2) Magic Kingdom - Even though it's just the "other Disneyland," can't go wrong with that!
3) EPCOT - I know a lot of people who say this is their favorite, but I go to Disney World to see the Disney, and Epcot's relatively low on that.
4) Animal Kingdom - There's not much I don't like about it... sadly, there's not much I do like either. All because there's just not much to it. I normally do Animal Kingdom in less than half a day and use the rest of the day to return to one of the other parks.
