I noticed the Herby sequels on there. Do you know if they are similar to the R1 SEs of the Witch Mountains & Apple Dumpling Gang?

Information, as always is virtually none existant. Well done BVHE UK.

However, infomation on the discs in the boxset does exist - to a certain extent anyway. I would say it's 99.9% certain these will just be repackages from the Herbie Collection boxset - meaning that they will be barebones, possibly without even the trailer.

That sucks. I thought it would be cool if the next wave of live-action SEs were the Herby Sequels, and was wondering if England had a release that pointed to something like that in R1.

Looks like their holding "Make Mine Music" over until next year. My guess is that it will be released early next year with a one disc "Mulan" release.

No wonder that they've decided to release the Walt Disney Treasures line now, since Make Mine Music and Mulan are the last two "Classics" to be released over here (besides the platinums) and they need some animated DVD's out to make them some money.

I also think that instead of releasing "Alice In Wonderland", "Pocahontas" and "Lilo And Stitch" special editions all in January like in the US they will be speard across 2004.

Which is odd because it is coming out here in November.

I wonder what the specs are for Flight of the Navigator...

Anyways, thanks 2099.

Do you have any info on the 'Anybody loves' dvd's? Hubby would love the Donald one. Amazon.co.uk have no info available.

You'll find a good list of what's on the Everybody Loves DVDs here:
http://www.duckfilm.de/film/dvd.htm

Also, you can save some money by ordering a German 3-pack with all the three discs coming out on Oct 23. You'll get German covers of course, but the discs are in English:

Thanks for that, Anders. I was trying to find that list the other day...

Just to comment, it would seem that for owners of the Treasures, only the Donald one would be worth purchasing, and everything else is available (or will be come December) on a Treasure tin.
And it would seem one of the other relevant DVDs (MMILC) will be coming out across Europe soon.

Might be worth picking up Donald, because I'm feeling impatient :)
All those Donald toons are from 1940 onwards, and my understanding is the Donald tin only goes up to 1941. So four shorts - Inferior Decorator (DD 1948), Bee At The Beach (DD 1950), Out Of Scale (DD 1951), Beezy Bear (DD 1955) - will be unavilable on Treasures. Mind you, I'm sure the rest will come out soon enough...

Wish there was some consistency in releases though...

Why isn't Flight Of The Navigator a Disney release, but instead Fox releasing it?

The same as the Brave Little Toaster movies, Disney only distributes the film in the US - the actual film was made by an independent film company, who had no distribution outlets of their own.

US distribution went to Disney, UK to Fox. It's possible Disney US hasn't released this to DVD yet as they do not have the rights to do so, only negotiating theatrical and VHS rights.

Incidently, Carlton releases the first Brave Little Toaster DVD in the UK.

My "Everybody Loves" (Mickey, Goofy, Donald) discs arrived today. I must say that they were a major disappointment. Not because many of the films are duplicated on Treasures sets, because I knew about that all along. No, the major disappointment was that all the short films have been stripped of their titles/credits. Instead, there are live action scenes between the cartoons where children (and some grownups) from various cities around the world wave stupidly at the camera and say that Mickey is their favourite character. Or Donald. Or Goofy. Some of the people even return on all three DVDs with different "favourite" characters...

Yech.
