PS. Not everyone they cast is perfect for the role. They could have gotten a better Dudley, or Cho. Katie Leung would have been perfect except for her thick Scottish accent.......
Why are Irish or Scottish accents so bad? I mean, Hogwarts itself is most likely located in Scotland. And this is the United Kingdom after all, is it not? :P
Its bad becuase in the fourth book, it is mentioned by Amos Diggory that the Diggorys, The Weasleys, and the Lovegoods are the only wizarding families in Ottery St. Catchpole. Which means that the Lovegoods live near the Weasleys. And unless Ottery St. Catchpole is in Ireland (Which I really doubt considering Weasleys/Diggorys accents) Then the lovegoods shouldnt have an accent.

There are some small things that can easily change with artistic license like the color of a dress or something. But something as big as Harry's Eyes, or People's homes should not change.

P.S. Yes, Imelda will have to wear a fat suit. As long as she plumps up a bit, I still think that she is perfect casting. She just needs to act vile.

Well, families move about, and there's all sorts of accents in a given area. Unless it specifically says they have been in the town for several generations, I wouldn't worry.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Oh, I'm really not worried. I'm sure that they will do a good job with the movie. I just would hope that she doesnt have too strong an Irish accent. The description of her from the book never mentioned anything of such a strong accent. I would just like to understand her. Im sure it'll be allright. Now, Im just hoping that they get the rest of the film right.

Young James looks okay, but Young Lily looks like she's 10 years older than him! I'm hoping that's just a bad picture!

I remember the comments on the Mugglenet page when Gary Oldman's manager posted that he hasn't heard any news on him reprising the role as Sirius. This confirmation is just for that sake, to keep those idiot teens from going mad thinking they cut Sirius from the 5th movie. I mean come on, if JK Rowling confirms the scripts of the movie then she would make sure Sirius is in it.

How could anyone think Sirius is not going to be in OotP? He's only the biggest character in the book (besides the main 3 or 4). The only thing I can see happening about Gary is him being replaced (which better not happen). But, I assure you, Sirius will be in the film.

I really am not worried about this film. Actually the only film I was worried was about was Goblet of Fire because I heard it was being directed by Mike Newell (didnt think it was his type of movie/mona lisa smile)...them cutting out so much stuff and no dursleys but in the end it turned out to be my favorite film of all time. :D

I think this one will be the best in the series..I heard this director was really good plus he sounds like that he is going to leave in alot of things. If they have to cut out some parts I would have to pick theses parts.

Fred and George Escape: It was kind of just there (like hermione's SPEW) and in Goblet of Fire the Movie they really didnt explain how Harry won the game and he gave his money to Fred and George. I think in the Half Blood Prince movie it could be explained as that they made a shop over the summer and are not comin back to school. Order of The Pheonix has too much stuff to put in.

Grawp: While it would be nice to have in the book..I would think it would take too much time to explain. If they do add him in I would think they could put him in the begginning when they come to Hogwarts.

Other than that I think everything else culd be in the book.

The only thing Im worried about is the cast

are Alan Rickan, Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane, and Micheal Gambon returning?

They have to keep Fred and George's rebellion against Umbridge! That's one part of a few that I only truly took away from reading Ootp. People will laugh at this if they film it correctly.

Grawp is pointless; I hope they cut him altogether.

I have a good feeling Fred & George's revolt will be included, and Grawp should be removed, as he furthers the plot none (or at least, as far as we know). I also wonder how they are going to work those dragon things (sorry as I can't remember their names) as Harry saw Professor Quirrell dies in the first film. :?

David Heyman said they're keeping Grawp in OOTP, because he will play a huge part in the final film (not to mention the book). I would love it if Michael Goldenberg keeps in all or part of Fred and George's rebellion against Umbridge, but I wouldn't be mad he cuts it out of the film entirely. I think in film form it would just detract from the main storyline, and they'll find a way to excuse the twins' leave somewhere else in the movie.

As for the rumors regarding Gary Oldman not returning as Sirius, Warner Brothers hadn't approached him (or his agent) to renegotiate a new contract for the fifth film yet (therefore spreading rumors that Oldman won't return to the franchise). Reuters now reports that Oldman is in negotiations with Warner Brothers to return. Besides, Heyman has added they don't need Oldman for filming for a while (meaning that they will have some time to get him on board) and that they fully intend on having Oldman reprise his role for the final time.

And now a bit more casting news: the actresses that played the Patil twins have signed on to reprise their roles in OOTP, and John Cleese is reported to reprise his role as Nearly-Headless Nick.

I really hope this is true.. cause he was promised to come back in the 4th movie but he never showed up.

If Gary Oldman is not coming back for a while are they cutting out the begginning when they are all at that house and they are just going to focus on the order.

What I meant is that they're gonna have to come up with a new explination as to why Harry can only see them now since he saw Quirrell die in movie 1.

Didn't they explain that in the fifth book? Something about how even though Harry saw Quirrell die (and he saw his parents die as a baby), he didn't see the Threstals because the deaths didn't have a big impact on him. Then when he saw Cedric die, it had a really large impact on him, so now he could see them.

Harry never saw Quirrell die in book 1 he passed out in pain, he did in the movie, so the film makers will just have to get them out off the bind them put themselves in.

Grawp has been confirmed to be in, even rumours of Tony Maudsley getting the part.

I remember a few months ago, reading Miranda Richardson would not return for film 5, so I guess Rita Skeeter is cut.

Yes. Here's the synopsis from WB

In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry returns for his fifth year of study at Hogwarts and discovers that much of the wizarding community is in denial about the teenager's recent encounter with the evil Lord Voldemort, preferring to turn a blind eye to the news that Voldemort has returned. Fearing that Hogwarts' venerable Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, is lying about Voldemort's return in order to undermine his power and take his job, the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, appoints a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher to keep watch over Dumbledore and the Hogwarts students. But Professor Dolores Umbridge's Ministry-approved course of defensive magic leaves the young wizards woefully unprepared to defend themselves against the dark forces threatening them and the entire wizarding community, so at the prompting of his friends Hermione and Ron, Harry takes matters into his own hands. Meeting secretly with a small group of students who name themselves "Dumbledore's Army," Harry teaches them how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts, preparing the courageous young wizards for the extraordinary battle that lies ahead.
