What have you always wanted to do, but never have done?

Post by Wonderlicious »

Before I get into the bulk of the thread, I'd like to remind everyone that you shouldn't make comments like "You should do this" or "Not good enough" to anyone. It could be seen as unfair, so I'd stay clear.

Anyway, here's what I've always wanted to do, but have never had the chance to do...

Have Cable/Sattelite TV
I have always wanted this, but due to being alone on this in the household, have never had it. We do have Freeview (a free digital TV provider that runs through terrestrial airwaves), but I have to admit that whilst there are some good channels (mainly the BBC and Channel 4 add ons), some channels that I'd like (like Sky One for reasonably timed Futurama/Malcom in the Middle and up to date Simpsons, TCM for classic movies and Boomerang for classic material in their OAR unlike the cropping to widescreen present currently on CBBC) aren't present and there's no non-English speaking (i.e. French and German) channels. And it seems as though I won't be getting something like it for at least another five or six years as well when I move out completely. :|

Go to California
I've always wanted to go to California. I'd love to see Disneyland (of course ;) ), San Fransisco, Hollywood and anywhere foresty. Again, I'm alone on this one.

Go to Australia
A bit like the California scenario, but mainly because other people around me can't face the jetlag. Hopefully, I may get to the Merry Old Land of Oz sometime soon as part of a cheapy backpacking trip or equivalent.

Learn Italian
I've always seen a cool thing about the language, but I've just never got round to finding somewhere to learn Italian.

Make a film longer than 30 minutes
I've made fairly small scale short films before, but nothing long. Perhaps I could be cheap and make a package feature someday.

I'm sure there's others, but these are the main ones.

Ditto, the first time I went to Disneyland I was so young I couldn't remember the experince. Apparently I cried a lot.

I want to get or atleast drive either a 67' Shelby AC Cobra, 00' Ferrari Enzo, 05' Mustang GT, a 67' Shelby Mustang GT-500, a 67' Ferrari 275 GTB4, 65' Pontiac GTO, 90' Lamborghini Diablo, 94' Jaguar XJ220, 98' Dodge Viper Coupe GTS, 67' Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Big Block, 57' Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible, 71' Plymouth Hemi Cuda, 61' Porsche Speedster, or a 71' DeTomaso Pantera.

I also want to go to Disneyworld.

Go to Germany, Egypt, France, Japan and Itally. Oh and of course Mexico and Canada.

Other than that I'm pretty happy with what I got.

I've always said that for my 21st birthday, I'd go skydiving. Since I'm not 21 yet, it's something I've wanted to do, but never did.

Also, I've always wanted to:

Acquire an accent:
I've got a fetish for accents, and I've always wanted to try and acquire one, which would of course mean moving to another country and living there long enough and talking enough to the people there that I'd gradually have an accent. Someone told me when I was younger that if you moved to England for 3 weeks, you'd get the accent. A whole bunch of hokum, if you ask me, but I really really want an accent. Maybe Australian.

Go to the other Disney parks outside of WDW:
Just because I've seen enough of WDW, I wanna see the other parks, especially Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland.

Fly/Levitate/Float in the Air:
Yeah, yeah, people can't really fly, but it's something I've always wanted to do but never did. It'd be cool just to kinda levitate and float for awhile. Like, say I'm standing and talking with someone in a crowded room, and I hear someone at the other end of the room go, "Hey Al!", so instead of walking all that way, I'd just rise a few inches from the floor to see who it is, and then decide whether or not to walk over there.

Visit Tokyo
I became interested in Japan when Mom and Dad put me and my sister in Japanese school.

Visit New York
I've been to New York once, but I was only three years old at the time and don't remember much.

Have a bigger TV
Every TV my family's had are about the same age or older than I am. Seriously.

I have always wanted to visit Australia. My husband has been there twice(he was in the Navy) and he said it's nice. I also want to visit Scotland and Ireland.

In the states I want to go to Las Vegas just once and Colorado. That's it. Hopefully, someday I'll get to visit at least a couple of these places. I've barely been outside of Missouri!!

:P touche...

That doesn't count because:
1. I'm sitting down. I prefer to fly standing up or laying down.
2. I'm strapped to a hugeass chair that I can't exactly ignore. Along with feet dangling above me.
3. Everytime I try and fiddle with my restraints they stopped the ride and asked me if I felt sick.

Visiting to South Carolina
I loved that state mostly because my parents and I went there to visit my aunt around the years of 1995 and 1999. The year 2003 is a terrible year for her. She's having an arthritis and the symptoms of that disease never goes away. Suddenly, she died the day after and I've never seen her life again ( :( ).

On the other hand, I've always want to visiting that state again since its the only state I've been there just for visits.

Buying a DVD Player For My Room
Around the year of 2003, my DVD player got broked and my parents were decided of buying another one for my birthday or christmas. Three years later, my parents still haven't decided about getting it! Hopefully, they will get it soon.

Visiting Marshall Islands
My mind went curious about visiting my Uncle and cousins since he lived there long enough. I was wondering what this place usually like and what region code of DVDs are there in that island. I might want to go there someday.

What I'd Like to do Is:

Become a Rich Millionaire 8)

Own a Mansion in every country 8)

Release a Multi-Platinum album 8)

No, Seriously what I've Always wanted to do more than anything is visit Anahiem California and go to Disneyland.

I'd like to go there some time after the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is opened.

I wish they wouldn't have closed WDW's 20,000 Leagues and filled in the lagoon, It was my favorite ride EVER, They should have put some other cool submarine adventure in there.

I also would like to learn to speak German, I always thought it was a cool sounding language.

hey we had this EXACT same discussion in spanish class, and we also had to write a spanish composition on it!

For me, I have never been to Disneyland and gone to a "real" indian restaurant (sitdown), and I want to do both!

I've only been to disneyworld and I've only eaten at crappy food court indian "stalls"!

I've always wanted to travel. I feel stuck here in this boring place. All there is to do is King's Island, and that gets boring really fast.
I want to travel to Ireland, England, Paris, Spain, and maybe go to Disney World someday. But those are just dreams. My biggest travel experience was moving from California to Ohio in the middle of summer, being stuck with my brother in a black car with a black interior that didn't have air conditioning and was over-heating. Then, I had to switch cars. So, driving across the US for 5 days seeing nothing but dead grass lands was my biggest travel expierence.

I want to visit a real castle. I don't care where, but I just want to see one. We have the Loveland castle not far from us, but my parents won't go and I don't want to go alone.

I want to go to Las Vegas and see Celine Dion's show before it's over. I've always wanted to. I've been to Vegas once before in 2000, but that was for my best friend's dad's convention he had to go to. Now that my best friend and I are 21, I refuse to go to Vegas with her. I couldn't handle her there.

Finally, I want to find something that I am truely good at. Something that when I tell myself that I can do this, I really can. Like my one special talent.

Move to California (April 30, 2006)....

Send the kids and wife to grandparents for the weekend....

Have a weekend with nothing up:

Sleeping In
Eating Fish Tacos
Only watch Looney Tunes, Simpsons, Marx Brothers, Chaplin, Keaton and other speciality titles all weekend

Otherwise visit London with my wife and stay in the city using only the Tube to get around. (without my wife getting tired of walking so much.)

You WANT to go on the Tube? :o You may change your mind after a day.

I would suggest a nice pleasant open-topped London Bus for your transport instead.

As for me:

Write the definitive Scooby Doo live action movie which would be respectful to the cartoon series while also good naturedly poking fun at it. It would be thousands of times better than the movies they did release.

It would tell the origin of Mystery Inc. and the set-up would be at college:

Freddy Jones would be a student on a sport's scholarship
Velma Dinkley and Daphne Blake would be room buddies. Velma getting into college due to her hard-work and inteligence, while Daphne would rely more on her family's money and her attractiveness, and would have to share a room due to an administration mix-up. However the two would form a firm frendship, each offering a contract to each other.
Norville Rogers (aka Shaggy) would be the son of the college caretaker, and would be doing odd jobs around the campus for extra money. He would be helped/hindered by his dog Scooby Doo.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I've always wanted to:
* Buy a surround system and a bigger TV for my enjoyment.
* Buy a DVD based on reviews (doing that with Smallville though! :D ).
* Hold a relationship for a long period.
* Be more open about myself.
* Visit Tokyo DisneySea / Disneyland California.
* Travel in the far east (China/Thailand/New Zeland) or Africa.
* Do a Disney marathon from 1937 all the way to 2006.
* Do a Pixar marathon.
* Do a TV show season marathon.
* Convert someone to be a Xena fan. :P

 You know what movie that reminds me of...

Really, if you had a million dallors you would want to do two chicks at the same time.
Hell, yeah. I always wanted to do that. And I think if I had a million dallors I can set something like that up because chicks dig money.
Well not all chicks...
Well chicks who would want to double up on a guy like me...
Good point.
