2005 Film Survivor Round Eight- Rules changed... again

Post by Just Myself »

Welcome to another new version of Survivor. This is my second attempt at one, but I promise not to quit this time! :P This one will decide which film out of 108 films that came out this year is the best. Included will be all films that have made over $10 million, with a few critical exceptions. As usual, rules are fairly simple:

All votes are counted- Regardless of post count. (note to all voters: Try to vote for movies that you disliked/haven't seen that you think others would want out; in other words, don't vote for War of the Worlds or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when you know others won't. ;) )

Voting will last two days or until I return to close the round.

You are voting for four(4) movies with four(4) leaving each round. Any votes with less than six will not be counted.

All votes must be in bold text to be counted.

Films that get voted off are the ones we like least or haven't seen.

Previously voted off:

Round One : Dukes of Hazzard, Honeymooners, Yours, Mine and Ours, Get Rich or Die Tryin', Bad News Bears and The Fog
Round Two : Are We There Yet?, Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo, Domino, In The Mix, Saw II and A Sound of Thunder
Round Three : Ring 2, Chicken Little, Sharkboy and Lavagirl, Robots, Bewitched and Hide and Seek
Round Four : Must Love Dogs, Duma, Transporter 2, Racing Stripes, Skeleton Key, The Pacifier and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Round Five : House of Wax, Boogeyman, Son of the Mask, Elektra, Guess Who and White Noise
Round Six : Assault on Precinct 13, Cursed, Into the Blue, Valiant, Man of the House and The Upside of Anger
Round Seven : Two For the Money, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Amityville Horror (2005), Monster-in-Law, Be Cool and Wolf Creek

NOTE: Everyone should read the previously voted off films before casting your vote. In round five, one of the films voted out, The Fog, was already voted out in the first round, therefore the sixth place went to the seventh highest voted film, Elektra. Also, some voters have been voting badly, i.e., going on for countless rounds trying to get a film voted out that no one else votes for. Some posters only vote for one film, others use all 6 votes to try and eliiminate films no one else wants out. Try to go with the popular vote, or at the very least try to form an alliance if you are that persistent.

Four votes Ichabod. Although I am in favour of staying at six. Either that or we will still be playing in 2007.

Each to his own I guess.

But there is NO way this film is worse than King Krap!

I beg to differ. Now, if we were talking TV and talking about Steve Carrell's The Office, that would be different. Ricky Gervais would be rolling in his grave if he was dead.

BTW Does anybody else agree with Mr. Toad and keep going with six votes? Maybe five? My goal is to try and end the game around the end of March, when most everyone will have seen the as of yet unnanounced Oscar noms.
