I got an A in speech (took is as a summer school class)..For one speech I talked about the smut on TV..started my speech out by standing at the front and yelling S&*# as loud as I could. Got an A, so
..and yes..9 days till I get to see it again and I am psyched
Can't wait for us all to be able to discuss it finally.

Yeah I know I rocked at Speech at High School but that's because we started off gradually. In college they just push you in the pool and hope you don't drown. Most of the people I talked to mostly engineers they took that class and the best they got were B's. I'm not worried about it, the main reason why I was so nervous was because I wasn't prepared. That's the biggest thing. You gotta be prepared and the jitters will get right out of you. And practice out loud, over and over again to yourself and to a small audience... like your parent's, or friends. Then of course they video tape you and you have to watch yourself and evaluate yourself. I actually didn't to that horrible. Now that I think about it I did pretty good. I was organized. But I still think it's messed up that you have to watch yourself.
Yeah but anyways talking about Bambi II...

I didn't know that! I guess I gotta get off my lazy homework-doin' butt and get this the day it comes out. I only wish it came out this week instead of next week so I could have done a DVD review on it for my reporting class. Hmmm, maybe I still can. I'll try to work it out with my professor. If my review is fit for publication, it MIGHT be included in the next edition of the "West Express" (Arizona State University's school newspaper).
Dragon, not lizard. I don't do that tongue thing.

I found this site that has all sorts of information like that! They posted about the 70-day thing on January 21 and then again on January 25. Anyway, here is the link to this really cool place:Mushu2083 wrote:I didn't know that!

LOL. I feel like such a fool. Haven't been able to come here a whole lot lately because of stupid school! I wish I could review the Bambi 2 DVD for my reporting class, but it doesn't come out until the DAY BEFORE my article is due. I'm just hoping my review on "In Her Shoes" will be good enough to be included in the "West Express".

Wow! 70 days. That was quite a limited time. "Bambi 2" will be out next week, and what happens after it runs out, back to the vault. Voiceroy was mentioned in that post that the movie "Bambi 2" will be gone after 70 days to go back to the vault, you're right, it is April 18th, the day Hayley Mills is turning 60 and the same day the Disney Channel debuted 23 years ago. That's quite a surprise. I might get the DVD when it comes out next week before the 70-day deadline.
Wow that site is incredibly awesome!!! I would of never thought of looking there.Luke wrote: I found this site that has all sorts of information like that! They posted about the 70-day thing on January 21 and then again on January 25. Anyway, here is the link to this really cool place:

By reading Luke's totally awesome review, which you should all read, I figured that out. It doesn't surprise me that it's only going to out for a limited time. It makes people hop on the bandwagon plus with the already popular original movie that everyone grew up with and loved will also help it out a bit. As Luke put it.
But who knows how much it will make. I predict less than $50 million.Luke's Review wrote: Surely, many will buy this DVD and enjoy it, but those truly fond of Bambi are apt to consider this an unnecessary and unfulfilling cash-in on the original's popularity, which is in every way inferior to its predecessor.

Whoa...70 days?
Let's hope Disney isn't doing that only to increase more sales by limiting the time. But hey, they did it to Beauty and the Beast (I believe) so this one could be good too.
The 70 day thing reminds me of that Fun House Clip of Bambi 2002 or something; the clip said Bambi 2002 would only be out for 24 hours.

DVDFile.com has their review for Bambi II posted.
http://www.dvdfile.com/index.php?option ... 6&Itemid=3
I watched the film, last night, and must say that I really enjoyed it. Much more than I expected, given the review Luke wrote. I feel very much like DVDFile.com. It doesn't top the original, but it is still a good film.
I'm very glad that I picked this up, and am proud to add it to my collection!

Good news for Disney, and Bambi II! From Video Business Online:

Bambi II makes large leap
Heavy Buena Vista marketing pays off for DVD premiere
By Jennifer Netherby and Susanne Ault 2/8/2006
FEB. 8 | Buena Vista Home Entertainment’s Bambi II sold an estimated 800,000 units its first day in stores Tuesday, according to industry sources, making an impressive leap for the DVD premiere sequel to the six-decades-old cartoon classic.
Retail sources said that based on preliminary sales data, the DVD premiere looked on pace to sell 2 million units in its first week in stores, outpacing DreamWorks Home Entertainment’s Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, the only other major family feature released this week.
Based on its first-day sales, Wallace and Gromit, which raked in $56 million in theaters, is on pace to sell about 1 million units in its first week, retail sources estimated.
Neither DreamWorks nor Buena Vista executives were available for comment.
Although Disney DVD premiere releases tend to sell well among animated children’s releases, it’s unusual that they surpass sales on theatrical releases. Buena Vista has promoted the release heavily with billboards and TV commercials. The studio is only giving the film a short 70-day release window before it goes back into the Disney vault.
At Hastings Entertainment, Bambi II was doubling the sales of Wallace in its first two days out, said director of marketing Mason Goodfellow.

Wow almost a million copies in one day??? No wonder they're only going to have it out for 70 days because they'll be all gone by then.

I bought the soundtrack to Bambi II today, wow..it's quite exquisite..just like the first..the updated version of the old soundtrack is very well done and worth the money for it..I like it for when I drive home (all country roads) and playing the original soundtrack..it relaxes you beyond belief..
