No, he said less than expected sales. And by the same token, The Incredibles, which was the top DVD seller last year has "less than expected" sales. Most DVD sales are underperforming against expectations as the glut of titles released each Tuesday increases, and the consumer has more choice than ever before.Paka wrote:Well, Luke himself posted that fact on the main page, although of course, I'd love to see some actual stats and numbers on the sales for the last few cheapquels, because that's news to me, too.2099net wrote:I'm not aware sequel sales are declining - infact they seem to be going up with the odd bump here and there. Of course, everything's a lot lower than the amazing Lion King 1 1/2 sales, but that was the exception.

Ahh. The nuances in wording went undetected by moi. You've got a valid point!2099net wrote:No, he said less than expected sales. They had mentioned the underpeforming DTV sales at the Q1 fiscal conference report.
But in any event, midyear 2005 data for Mulan II (and the first few weeks of Tarzan II sales) here can be compared with The Lion King 1½ in the first six months of 2004 here. That doesn't illustrate much, besides how huge Lion King 1½ was.
I'm anxiously waiting for year-end data to show how Kronk's and Stitch 2 performed, and how Tarzan II held up.

1. Animation and dialogue is realistic... in a way, I mean animals can't talk but at least they kept the talking to a minimum. You also never heard any animal in the original count before. How would animals know mathematics? They kept the human characteristics to a minimum and the backgrounds were just incredible.
2. In a sense the whole movie was realistic... in the original you never saw the father take care of the fawn because they simple don't do that. So in Bambi's case he would be SOL but he actually had a good chance of survival because he was weened from his mother seeing how he was eating grass before she died.
Even after all I said I still can't help feeling anticipation for the new movie to come out because after all I'm curious to find out what happens. Despite the fact that now I have a pretty good idea. And unfortunately I have an exam in one of classes the day it comes out so I got to think about that more than the movie.

At last, a full scene with li'l Ronno in it! I've grown attached to the little punk who names his antlers Stab and Dab.bambifan56 wrote:http://movies.aol.com/movie/main.adp?mid=24683
Sorry, I really am gonna spoil the movie
Enjoy Ladies and Gents!
In the clip with Bambi and the porcupine, I didn't like how bossy Thumper came off to the Great Prince and Thumper's exaggerated face expressions were unnecessarily strained.
Re: More Bambi II clips..11 min's worth. Sorry..
Yeah if I was GeePee, I would of kept on walking. But the porcupine, that guy makes me laugh with his spine tingling laugh. I mean Bambi shouldn't of messed with him, I mean look at him what a monster... I wouldn't mess with him.Sky Syndrome wrote: In the clip with Bambi and the porcupine, I didn't like how bossy Thumper came off to the Great Prince and Thumper's exaggerated face expressions were unnecessarily strained.

Haha I love that when Thumper says I'm a moutain lion, then Bambi says I'm a bear then Flowers like "I'm a turtle..." Which reminds me of Ralph Wiggum.

They are showing commericals. I saw it once tonight during Dancing With The Stars.Zoltack wrote:Hmmm. I wonder if they've been showing commercials on TV now. I don't know I haven't watched TV in two days... Been too occupied with school. I got soo much homework to do it's not even funny. I have to give a speech tomarrow and you know what that's like.
Good luck on the speech. I've had to do a lot of those while I was in school. Just remember to relax, and not to get nervous. If your prepared for it then everything will go well.

This is just another of those useless sequels that Disney has no faith in and will not put in the US theaters. If the powers that be don't think it is good enough for the movie theaters why should we believe that it is good enough for our collections.
Direct-to-Video movies for the most part are horrible. Why can't they leave the classics alone and let them be. What has happened to the originality of the Disney brains?
I hate to one of the few, but I will not give this DVD a space in my collection.

Yeah I would think that this would be one of the blind buys that I would be the least disappointed by. Hopefully that's true. I mean it's not like they whipped it all together at the last minute. They've been working on this for a long freaking time. And now we have 9 days to see what they've come up with.

Good thing it was only worth 1/100 of my grade.
Haha. I did the exact opposite that you said. I was nervous. I was shaking and pounding on the podium. I was mumbling. Lets just say for my first speech it was a total wash. You know it's really hard to get up there one girl actually left class because it was that terrifying for her. But at least I got the courage to do it, and that's what is really important.DP wrote:Good luck on the speech. I've had to do a lot of those while I was in school.
