I'm in a history class in which we use the semester to help us learn about writing term papers. So, we get to choose a topic for this paper (10 pages) and I had a few ideas, but i'm not sure how to expand on them, so maybe someone can help me.
I was thinking of:
-Jane Austen period and the role of women during that time.
But I also want to do something Disney with regards to history, but what and how, I don't know. I want to do this paper on something that I am interested in, and as a history major, I have alot, but the prof. wants us to be specific and for me, it's hard.
Can I get some help or some ideas on my topics?
Thanks!!!

I took a class on Victorian lit in which we focused on women's roles. That's a good topic. But I also wrote a paper for a film class about the portrayal of women in Disney films. You could trace the portrayal of women in major Disney films throughout the years and explore the ways in which the films reflected American society at the times they were made. Or something like that.

http://corporate.disney.go.com/corporat ... story.html I found this a while ago when I was browsing the internet, it's pretty in depth.
Also, I think Snowbot had a good idea, there's always been discussion over the absence of mothers in Disney movies, how about highlighting on that? If you type in 'mothers in disney films' there are loads of articles and stuff.
Hope this helps

Good luck!
