Your story seems to represent one of two recurring themes to the type of feedback he received on his Amazon Marketplace store. You just appear to be one of the lucky ones to actually get something. :thumb: Unfortunately, lying to say that you sent something (as Disney Guru did on at least four occasions for this Secret Santa) is a worse route to take than even the lamest genuine excuse there may have been. And I don't think giving him more than a month from the recommended deadline was too soon for action. In fact, he was the last to be dealt with, due in part to his efforts to string us all along. All 33 Secret Santa participants were celebrating Christmas, not Abraham Lincoln's Birthday.

Anyway, why should we end this Secret Santa thread on a sour note? Let's think about the joy all <strike>33</strike> <strike>32</strike> <strike>31</strike> 30 (soon to be 31) participants experienced when opening up the mysterious package from the unknown Secret Santa. And hey, if I decided to go ahead with it again this year (at this point, that is an uncertainty), think of the excitement the 2006 Secret Santa thread will bring in less than 10 months!

:santa: :excellent: :frog:

Hey man 2006 won't be 2006 without UDSS!

Why wait, though? Let's play Secret President!

Well, nearly a whole month after Christmas and I just received a Secret Santa present!

Luke was gracious enough to cover for Guru's mess, and sent me a DVD of Elf from the incomparable Amazon! ;) Alas, being an entire 14 months since its release, it did not come with a spiffeh shiny slipcover - heh, but that would only matter if I actually cared about slipcovers! :P

Apparently, thar be a second gift waiting in the wings for me too - w00t! But as for the first gift - yay! I luuuurves it! Thanks a ton for your generosity Luke! It really means a lot to me. :D

I don't think 32 people would appreciate getting spoiled eggs in the mail. It wouldn't really mean the same as getting DVDs.

Anyway, I'm late with my feedback on this but I'm glad that everyone who was nice enough to send a gift has recieved one now. The fact that orestes and Guru didn't send their gifts really surprised the hell out of me. They just didn't seem like the kind of people who would do that. I'm still anxious to find out what orestes' story is, and I hope his absence isn't permanent.

I was joking. Hence the smilies at the end of my message.

I don't know, I think it should only be done during the holiday season. If it were done every holiday, I don't think it would be as good. Y'know, too much of a good thing....

You didn't know that? I got the Matrix as an Easter present one time. You don't think that all that candy are gifts either?

Tra la la... *dredges up thread to be annoying* :P

I finally got the second half of my Secret Santa makeup gift from Luke and Renata last night... it was a <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... ossomforth Purse Set</a> My Little Pony toy! w00t! I really like the mold used for her, too - it looks like that "play bow" position that dogs get into when they're feeling excited and... well, playful!

I also forgot to mention that Luke's Christmas card for me came as a double-duty greeting with the Gargoyles set I won - it was a cute little pencil doodle of Lex! ;)

So again, thanks a lot for being so generous after having to endure those annoying few who didn't pull their weight this year. Here's to a successful 2006 Secret Santa! :santa:
