I'm at DisneyWorld! And I have a quick question!
I'm at DisneyWorld!! Sorry, I'm trying to work off the three mickey mouse ice cream bars I had while waiting in line for the Dumbo ride. I have a quick question. I've ridden most of the rides I want to except for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Rescue and Stitch's Blasting lasers. I know the Buzz Lightyear ride is at DisneyWorld, but is Stitch's Blasting Lasers at DisneyWorld? If it isn't I'm sure my friend and I can find some other cool stuff to do. We got a week.

I've never heard of anything called "Stitch's Blasting Lasers." That's not to say it doesn't exist, but it's not at Disney World. There is, however, "Stitch's Great Escape," which is an attraction that you sit through... is that what you're referring to? If so, it's across from Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin in Tomorrowland. Hope you're having a great time!

Yeah, Stitch's Great Escape. That's what I was thinking of. I had the name wrong. I'm guessing I had the name of the Buzz Lightyear thing wrong too. LOL. I'm having a GREAT time. I looked at a map of DisneyWorld online but I looked at it like two weeks before I was supposed to leave. I just wish I didn't eat 3 ice cream bars! Also, where's the nearest place (if any) to buy sunscreen?

You can get a theme park map of whatever park you're in at the park entrance, at Guest Relations, and at various little merchandise and vendor carts around the park. Also, if you are staying at a Disney hotel, you can get a map of all the parks from them. It's all free.
Look for sunscreen in the gift shops that are closest to the park's entrance. That's where you'll be most likely to find it, but it can be found in many stores inside Disney World. Also, there will sometimes be small merchandise stands set up inside and outside the park that will sometimes sell sunscreen. Of course, Disney hotel gift shops (and just about any hotel gift shop for that matter) will have them too. There will also be various places at Downtown Disney that have it... you can ask any cast member there to direct you to the closest store that will have it. There is also a Hess gas station across from Downtown Disney and another one near the entrance to Epcot... those will likely sell some too.
Hope this helps!
Enjoy all the Mickey ice cream you can eat while you're there!

I will. I think I'm getting addicted to those things. You should have seen the line for the Dumbo ride yesterday. I thought I was going to be 85 before it was my turn to get on. The New Year's eve celebration was GREAT!

Mushu2083's Update from Disneyworld
Well, if you haven't figured it out by now, I'm at Disneyworld!
Here's a quick update on what I've been up to. I go back home to Arizona on the 9th.
Ridden the teacups-7 times. Had to walk around the park to find them because my friend left the park map in our hotel room!
Went to Stitch's great escape- 4 times. Gotta love that blue dude.
Ridden Dumbo- 5 times. Although I don't reccommend getting on the ride, right after you've eaten lunch.
Ridden Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin- 4 times. (I think)
Bought some t-shirts, stuffed animals and a couple of snowglobes to add to my collection on my nightstand. I bought some Disney italian charms too.
Have no clue what my friend Jocelyn and I are doing tomorrow. We're working on a plan of attack.

Nice to see you're having a great time at Walt Disney World, but it'd be better to save thread space and bandwidth if this got merged with your other thread.
Anyways, have more fun!

re: mushu's original question
Hey mushu (forgot the rest of your screenname there - sorry), too bad you didn't ask me those questions 2 years ago - I used to work for Disney World's Guest Services Department until they let me go after 7 years of hard work (and don't ask - you'll open too many wounds that have just finally started to heal)...
As far as the ride question you had asked, you may be interested in knowing this: I had actually heard rumors from "within" that they actually WERE talking about changing the Buzz Lightyear attraction into a Stitch ride/walk-through, but from what I was told, too many parents wanted to keep the Toy Story theme because the teenagers liked it. So what did they do instead - they closed one of MY favorites, Alien Encounter and made it Stitch's Great Escape... Well, that's of course because there's only SO much room at Disney World, you know (yeah, and that's also why they get rid of a lot of their long-term employees like me, too, but again, don't ask - you don't want me to open THAT can of worms)...
Well if anyone wants to say something to me on this reply, cool. Just don't flood me with hate-mail or park questions that relate to post-2004, k?
Ron :)

I hope this isn't a stupid question to bring up...but how in the world did you get onto UD while you were in WDW? It seems like your sitting in the magic kingdom going online. Is there really a place to do this? Can you bring laptops into the park? what hotel did you stay at? and I hope you had a lot of fun!! I wish I was there too.

re: what kram posted
kram (or anyone else w/ similar ???), i hope this answers your ?...
i used 2 work @ wdw in guest services so i used 2 be "in the know" when it came 2 anything disney...
now, they used 2 have internet stations scattered around the parks and hotels, but in 2004 they took them away because a lot of people were going on 'questionable' sites without paying for the bandwidth costs and so corporate finally just pulled the plug on the whole thing...
now, it's been almost a year since i worked there, but when i was out there, they did have an internet cafe "of sorts" on the 5th floor of disney quest, but u have 2 buy tix 4 disney quest even if u just want 2 go online...
my personal advice: if you're going 2 disney, pack as lite as possible (just the essentials), and unless you're on business, leave most of your gadgets at home (well maybe w/ the exception of your cell and an mp3 player), because people lose very valuable items out there every single day...besides, you're on vacation - not working!!!
