You know the funny thing? I'm the only person paying attention. The whole nature of being a Republican is to cut yourself off from others. Decide what's best for themselves and to hell with everyone else. Another funny thing? Nations don't work like that. Yet, the history of segregation? Conservatives ran that little scam by over a 3/4th's margin. Who are the biggest supporters of our constitutional rights? Liberals. Who supports sending troops over to fight unimportant wars? Nixon, Bush, and Bush 2. Writing any of this down? Who supports giving tax breaks to the billionaires of business-industries while expecting the middle class to make up the difference? Guess who - Republicans. Who supports the Church and religious leaders to put in bids to change and make laws based on unconfirmed words of God and people who it can't be proved exist - Conservatives, with the full governmental support of the Republicans, who are currently working their darnedest to change the abortion laws in this country. Clinton had his photograph taken with Melissa Etheridge and her partner, while the first half year of his time in office Bush (W) eliminated the nationally recognized Gay-Pride month. And who spent over ONE AND A HALF BILLION DOLLARS of the national budget just to PLAY with our fundamental freedoms by messing with the legal definition of marriage? Dubya. Or DUMBYA, which is a lot more accurate. A funny thing's happening over in Iraq right now. Now that the U.S. has gone in, the new "leadership" is forcing the Iraqi government to deny rights to women! Taxi drivers are now being required by law to deny women as customers. I guess the married ones will have to ask their husbands for a ride to work and the single ones will have to wing it. Most TV stations in Iraq are not even allowing women to be shown on the air. And what side are those leaders? In a way, neither have I. It's just a matter of - is there a better place to do it? Well, maybe I'm generalising a bit and being a little too mean. I obviously think that there are far worse things that you can do, and I think any sane person can admit that, love or hate him, Bush is not an evil person in the leagues of Bin Laden, Hitler etc. And, I think that people can easily redeem themselves in other ways.
