Fire at Disneyland

Post by AwallaceUNC »

Fox News just reported that an artificial Christmas tree caught fire in the lobby of the Grand Californian hotel at Disneyland Resort. The hotel was packed and 2,300 guests were evacuated to other parts of Disneyland. The sprinkler system was apparently able to get the fire under control rather quickly. They didn't say anything about whether the guests were able to return or how much (if any) property damage there is. Fortunately, it sounds like no one was hurt.

They've given two updates on FNC now, complete with video footage, which was a surprise. It looks very sad and scary... a Disney hotel with firefighters and water everywhere. There didn't seem to be much fire, though. The hotel was indeed at full capacity but the resort guests are supposed to be returning to their rooms right about now.
