Mine is Xena, a Warrior Princess forged in the heat of battle. :P This is her in one of her last appearances in the final episode "A Friend in Need". And one other thing... Lucy Lawless is awesome! :D

Disney Duster's Avatar

Post by Disney Duster »

My current avatar is this one:

Image

It is the transformation of Cinderella's rags into her ballgown, my favorite scene from any movie, and it was also reported as being Walt Disney's favorite piece of animation from his studio. I was obsessed with this scene for so long as a young child, pausing it, watching it frame by frame, drawing it all the time. I still love it, and even though I made this avatar using the restored version of the scene, I know for a fact that the restored version makes the sparkles around Cinderella fainter, and some of the sparkles are even missing! You can't tell when it's this small, though. I just hope Disney releases a restored version of Cinderella in my lifetime where the sparkles in this scene are left intact.

Hi

Post by Disney Guru »

My new avatar is a screen cap of Bette Davis, in the 1976 Made for TV Movie: The Dissappearance of Aimee

Image

Image

In 1926, flamboyant evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson disappeared for six weeks. At first feared drowned (she'd been vacationing on a California beach at the time she vanished), Aimee finally showed up, wandering barefoot in the Mexican desert. For the benefit of the press, Aimee related a fantastic story of being kidnapped and held for ransom, a story given "credence" by a ransom note which popped up at her Four Square Gospel headquarters. Aimee's tale was full of holes; as more facts became known, it was apparent (to everyone but "true believers") that Aimee had spent those six weeks on a romantic idyll with Kenneth Ormiston, a married radio technician. This made-for-TV movie takes no sides in the controversy, offering generous space to both theories; still, Aimee does not come off as being particularly saint-like. Faye Dunaway stars as Aimee, Bette Davis co-stars as her domineering mother, and William Jordan is man-in-the-middle Ormiston. Written by John McGreevey, The Disappearance of Aimee was the November 17, 1976, presentation of NBC's Hallmark Hall of Fame. — Hal Erickson

IF South Park had new characters, and IF they added a Ryan & a Krystal, the avatar on the left is what they would look like. :)

 Great!

You should send that to Trey Parker and Matt Stone to see if they can make you and Ryan into characters. You know when it comes to them something awful is probably going to happen. ;)

According to page 16, I changed to Mutley on October 13, so it's been four months with him laughing in everyone's faces. I think he's been laughing long enough, so here's my choices for new avatar:

Which should stare at you guys for the next few months before I change it again? Should I bring back Bree? Or go with Gromit? Or perhaps allow Chip'n'Dale to be given the enviable spot in Escapay's avatar slot? Or how about Doug?

As much as I love seeing Marcia Cross, the one with Gromit jumping out at you looks very cool. It's up to you, though.
