I like some parts of the cover.

Change:
-A little darker red, I think it's just me but it looks a little pinkish (not the stars).
-Couldn't they make Buzz a little taller till he's align with Woody's eyes, then scooch Woody over so Buzz's face won't cover Woody's.
-Replace "2-Disc Special Edition" on the binding with "2-Disc Set" like the first one.
-Put Woody on the little square of the binding.

Yup, and everything else looks great.

Although I can't see it mentioned in the press release, I'd just thought I would mention that the UK release has the Music and Sound Effects only soundtrack (but it is not on the Toy Story 10AE release).
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Man I can't wait for this. Actually I can, because Christmas has to be over before this can come out and I don't want that to happen anytime soon.

I really have to buy both Toy Story movies! I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I wanted to ask for the first one for Christmas, but I'm already asking for a lot of tv shows on dvd......Toy Story will just have to wait...

My local video store has had this up for about a week so far, lol. However, it's been out pretty much non-stop, so I haven't been able to rent it yet. At this point, I guess I'll just buy it on its actual release date.

I find the cover pretty nice, for some reason I was expecting a blue background or a brown western background but this is fine with me. I still have to get Toy Story 1! I guess I know what i'll be buying tomorrow when I go shopping at Wal Mart so then I can get the 3 dollars off coupon. I'll probably only be spending $12.00 on Toy Story 2 since all new releases at Wal-Mart are $15.99 or less for a whole week of its release.

^ Don't get your hopes up for that $3.00 coupon. I, too, waited to purchase my copy until a few weeks ago. First I was disappointed to not be able to find it with a slipcover (my own fault, though, for waiting so long), then I opened it up only to be disappointed again by finding no coupon. I guess it was just included in the first few shipments or something. Sorry to be the one to tell you, but hey, $3.00 isn't that much...

I was looking around at Best Buy today and was very surprised to bump into about 50 copies of this that they had gotten early. I was so excited to see these in stores 4 days early, so I immediately picked one up and then.......put it back down. I could've gotten it early, but I decided to wait because Wal*Mart will have it for about $15 when it first comes out, which is better than the $20 Best Buy was asking for.

I did pick up some information about the set by just looking at the packaging, however. First of all, for those of you who don't like the "Woody's Roundup Edition" tagline on the DVD, don't worry; that tagline is just a transparent sticker that you can peel right off the slipcover. Speaking of the slipcover, the entire thing is shiny (kinda like the A Bug's Life slipcover) and the images of Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and Bullseye pop out at you (kinda like the POtC slipcover).

Now I wish I had goten it today because I'm extremely bored.

I've got another scheme like my free slipcover one
(This will let you get a copy early at $15):
-Buy at Best Buy and keep the receipt
-Open the DVD and do whatever you want with it
-On Monday, buy another copy at Walmart
-Return the copy you just bought from Walmart with the receipt you kept from Best Buy

So then you'll have bought Toy Story 2 early and get it at $15.

Though I think everyone has already thought of this, but I'll pass it along anyways.

Yeah, the one I got from Disney Lover had no slipcover and no coupon in it either. It's worth it coupon or no coupon though anyway.

The K-Mart down the street from me had "Toy Story 2" on the shelves for sale on Saturday, December 24th. I bought two copies at $17.99 each. One for me and one for my daughter which she got for a Christmas present this morning.

I don't care what others say, the red cover fits this presentation. I like it!!!

ToyStory 1 & 2 went into the vault on May 1, 2003, so TS was in the vault for about 2 years 5 months, and TS2 was in the vault for about 2 years
(7 or 8) months. Hope that helps!

Toy Story 2

Post by DisneyPrincess »

I bought Toy Story 2 today, but I haven't watched it yet. I'm curious to play the "Which Toy Are You?" game. I have the original dvd releases of the the Toy Story movies, I guess I'll pass them down since I have both special editions now. :)

Price

Post by DisneyPrincess »

By the way, I thought I could buy TSII for $15.99 at Walmart like every other Disney release, but it was $19.96, I still paid it, but was surprised that it was not cheaper because Walmart usually has it the cheapest. Target, Walmart and Best Buy were all the same $20 price.
